This set feels like a sort of spiritual remake of the 2014 version. I mean, it’s got almost the same figs, they’re released 10 years apart and the interior looks very similar. Maybe it’s just me but it feels that way.

The 2014 one was very well-proportioned. This one took the bridge size from the 2014 one and it looks like it slapped a midi-scale body on the underside. Maybe it’s just the angles they have it at, but I think the body is WAY too small for the bridge.

I wish they'd made sets centered around the 25th anniversary figures. I dont want a star destroyer at all but I'm dying for not only Cal but actual Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor sets. Would've killed for more clone wars with fives and anything, literally anything, set in the old republic with malak. I'd be buying more sets and actually be happy, instead it's upsetting that I may miss the only rendition ever of a long awaited character because I don't need a huge set that's unrelated

What I really love about this is how Cal is not only a stand alone anniversary minifig, but he can totally fit into the set if one wishes. Fallen Order happened during the empire era after all

This is cool; however its definitly not in the same level as the FO Star Destroyer. I just feel the interior is really lacking, I understand that they couldnt make it so big in order for everything to close nicely but this just feels unfinished, pherhaps if some screens were added or just added some of the death star´s wall stickers then it would´ve looked so much better. Personally this is a pass, however this is soo cool for ppl that dont have a star destroyer yet

The first one I thought was pretty good. A bit bigger, has an escape pod that was captured. The detractor to that is it opens on the bottom that you can’t do anything with unless you pick it up and there’s no handle

Looks like the side panel is 6 studs shorter than the 2014 model by a count I just did, so probably 4-5 studs shorter length overall (since it's a triangle). Not sure about interior space comparison but may do that later too.

I'm excited for this both for the Cal figure and because it's a play-scale Star Destroyer. I missed the 2014 one and the 2006 one was the first big set I ever got but it quickly fell apart and I never rebuilt it. I did get the UCS ISD before it retired but I don’t have space for it yet, so having another chance at getting a smaller play set great.
