You should fry the rice with garlic first then put it to boil. The hakka call it moon fun. Use manis chye, dry prawn,long bean and tau kua,ganish with peanuts.

where do you get thai basil leaves from please? Ntuc doesn't have it?
@brielli63934 жыл бұрын
Not sure what country you're from, but most US asian markets have it. Once you buy it you can take a few stems, strip all but the top 2 or 3 leaves, and then but it in a cup of water. It'll grow roots in the water and then you can plant it and have your own basil :)

what kind of chinese tea leaves? jasmine, pu erh, oolong? can this be omitted?
@themeatmensg3 жыл бұрын
Hi Anna! We used 中国茶叶 that you can find in the supermarkets. But it's completely fine to swap it out for other tea leaves. The tea leaves give the Thunder Tea Rice its iconic tea taste, we would recommend to swap the tea leaves to something you have rather than omitting them :) Cook and tag us on our socials!
