Leki ARE the best poles you can get. They're worth the money! I slowly transitioned after the pandemic into trail running coming from traditional road races. Poles have been a great help for me, and in very long races I even use them in level terrain.

Glad the poles help. Enjoyed the video. Watch out for that lightening. Last week during a bad thunderstorm here, lightening ran in on a lot of people's cable & destroyed their electronics. Be safe. God bless you all.

Just received a pair from Leki to demo and review. I'll be putting them through the paces tomorrow morning in a Double Mountain Trail Race in The SC TN Mountains. Another 50K next Sunday too.

Hi, I've been using those poles for just over a year in the mountains in Scotland, they are ace but you will find that the fin vairo trail tips don't last very long - the carbide tip actually breaks out of the plastic. There's an easy fix though...just buy the 'leki trail tip' and replace the fin vairo tips. The trail tip isn't as aggressive but it handles most terrain just fine and its actually better on rock. Enjoying your videos! :-)

Ashley this is an amazing comment and I will write more soon.

Seth James DeMoor no worries, I use my poles pretty much every day, whether I'm out running or just out walking my dogs, so they do get a lot of use on some very rough granite, but I've had to replace the tips 3 times over the past 13 months, the poles themselves are totally bomb proof.

Handy comment, cheers Ash. Only got mine last week but will bear that in mind when replacing.
@ashtoddphotography6 жыл бұрын
@@punkinpunker one thing to note with the replacement tips is to make sure they are attached in very well, I've lost a couple, now I put a wee dab of silicon just to hold them fast.
@punkinpunker6 жыл бұрын
@@ashtoddphotography cheers Ash. I heard people use appoxy resin to attach them. Do you use both? I guess the flex of silicon has its benefits, plus, easy to pull off again when they need replacing?

very interested in this product, but the Amazon link you provided doesn't work, I live in Taiwan, where can I buy this? Thanks

So how are they treating you? These are on my very short list, but I've got some question with the grip. Do you find yourself getting annoyed at the gloves? I could see myself getting tired of taking them on and off over a very long run.
@SethJamesDeMoor6 жыл бұрын
Nice Justin. LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I made another video about 3 weeks ago, I believe I talked more about the poles in that video: “Winter Running and training with Leki Trekking Poles”. I do need to make a FULL REVIEW of the poles at some point.

After 6years doing ultra marathons, I bought the leki for Lavaredo Ultra Trail in Italy, my concern is the gloves also.. I'm not seeing me with that gloves in my hands, probably I will go without them..

A quiver strapped onto your vest will make storage for your Leki poles easy.

I think the best use is any extended climb over 500 vertical feet (which is easy to find at deer creek!) I once did a 30 mile training run there!

Seth, forgive me if you have done this before, but perhaps you could produce a "day in the life" video one day. Or link to one if you have. Obviously every one of your vlogs is essentially this, but really what I'm getting at is- How do you do all of this in ONE DAY? Do you work full time? Do you survive on 2 hours of sleep per night? And you've got a family with three or four kids?!?! What's the secret? I work full time, run full time, eat full time, sleep full time, and barely have enough time in a day to WATCH one of your videos- let alone film, edit, and produce one. So, what's the secret?

I've got a trail half-marathon coming up (haven't started the vlog series for the train-up yet), and your vest looks pretty interesting. I am going to have to check it out for what I need.

I love the RaidLight, it’s more flexible and comfortable than the Ultimate Direction. My only complaint is that it’s kind of tough to get the bottles in the front pouches. Let me know what you end up going with. Thanks for the comment and best of luck in your training.
