I made this one, and it was a game changer! I know that I have mentioned that I spent many years working in food service. As a result, I still tend to prep enough to fill a restaurant full of people. Because it's just the two of us at home now, this translates to a LOT of leftovers. That's a problem for my fiancé; he seldom wants to clean up leftovers! He ate every single scrap of this that I cooked, and asked when I would be making it again. No compliment to the cook like an empty plate! 😊

Although it’s pricy, I always go to Whole Foods when I make these pasta dishes, having the organic handmade pasta does make a difference in such simple dishes, and cause the other ingredients are just so few and so cheap I don’t feel bad spending $6.99 on pasta. Plus the chicken adds so much protein, I’ve always got a few lunches worth of leftovers even if I’m just cooking for 2

I love chicken and lemon so this one’s a winner for me! It was 1982 and l was newly married, l decided to make my new hubby his Mom’s Lemon Chicken... I thought, it l tripled the amount of lemon it would taste even better. My sweet darling husband’s lips were puckering but, he smiled and ate every bite! I miss him dearly, if you have pain PLEASE don’t ignore it and always get a second opinion... Pancreatic Cancer is often misdiagnosed initially as a “Gallbladder” disorder! When he was finally diagnosed correctly, he died eleven weeks later at the age of 56!

I discovered your channel a few months ago and have tried a number of your recipes and have found them absolutely delicious without fail. Love the way you teach about Italian cooking at home. I emphasize at home because it is so different than what Italian restaurants do with the over abundance of “Italian herbs”. A number of years ago (more than I care to admit) I had vacationed a bit in Italy (Venice, Rome, and Milan). I asked one restaurant owner why the Italian cooking in the US was so different. His answer was, and by the way the point of my rant, in Italy the cooking is to let the pasta speak for the dish. Just my personal opinion, but that is what I find that you do. You let the pasta speak for the dish and do a great job of explaining why certain pastas are used and when. Great channel and such a blessing for an amateur cook like me who just loves to just make great food for his own family!

I like to cook a lot and through my years I have followed KZbinrs recipes and videos to learn and pick up skills to improve in the kitchen but I what I can really appreciate to your way is the simplicity and flexibility of your recipes. You are always praising about using what’s available to you; you aren’t ultra strict in your recipes,you emphasize that it still going to come out good. Also you aren’t using this ultra fancy and expensive tools some you tubers use for cooking and your style: so humble!! Followed your link to buy the 14" stainless and they only had used ones. Debated it for a minute and decided since it was only $18 dollars, "let's take a chance". It arrived and STILL had the sticker/label in the bottom! It's my favorite pan by far, and in a pinch I can defend my home with it since it's as big and heavy as a medieval weapon. Such an in-depth and informal video. This entire technique is brilliant. The way he heats the pan prior to adding oil to get a perfect sear, the way he saves time by patting the other side of the chicken while its in the pan, he doesn't make the sauce in the same used pan of the seared chicken to maintain the lemon and cheese flavor, he even makes sure to stir the egg yolk in a way that doesn't scramble the egg. Chicken and pasta are made for each other. Chicken was a fairly inexpensive protein so it was perfect to use. Granted we had some Bird Flu reported in Oklahoma recently but, I about died of price shock when I bought some last week.

Great video as always. Any type of pasta with a cream based sauce is tops of my family's dinner list. I am lucky to live in Tucson and have a Green Thumb neighbor with several lemon trees and always a garden with fresh oregano and thyme and basil. I make a version of this dish without the eggs but deglazing with white wine the pan in which I browned and cooked either chicken or Italian sausage. And I'd wilt in spinach at the end as well. Popeye needs his spinach.

Chicken is easy to cook with other dishes. While my chicken is cooking in the frying pan on low - med heat I can do the pasta or the side of vegetables and it won’t burn. I use avocado oil and I leave it longer because the heat is low and it will still sear on a stainless steal pan
