Men of integrity always mention confidentiality agreements before they start spilling the beans. Based on what I just said, Greg's integrity and yours are the same. You are both completelydevoid of any integrity. Be careful who you worship. I hope you aren't caught up in all this.

Greg tested off the charts, genetically. He picked up cycling when there was no snow to ski one year, and right away, as a 15 year old, he was beating older elite racers. Lance tested high, but not that high. That's how Greg knew Lance's performance was enhanced.

I kind of agree. But every winner has to be dominant and single minded to win, so bullying is a small part of it? Thing is Lance went full sociopath. The shit he put Greg and Cathy through was truly unforgivable. To have not even apologised yet speaks volumes about Lances character (or lack of it)

He is. Once done competing many great athletes career then becomes talking about the the sport and their involvement. Having another champion of the sport come after you and get your business related to the sport shut down will always be relevant. People will also always ask him questions about it, just like they will ask Lance questions about it and his time in the sport.

He has (a life) as is displayed here. Further he's welcome in all cycling circles that matter. He has no need to build an ecosystem of disgraced partners in doping around him. Lemond could offer a master class on how to get out in front of pathological types. It's a hard knocks set of lessons but he has them learned. So many fans, followers and sycophants of this type of "leadership" suffer but position themselves as operating in agreement. They aren't, they are used and the closer they are to their admired leader the more they suffer. Someone at Trek knew what was going on and leaked the documents Lemond references. I worked with a former VP of sales of Lemond's products. There was a lot truth telling amongst employees never made public. Lemond sued Trek (actually counter-sued - Trek went at him first). Lemond won and that fact and the amount were never disclosed - he donated the winnings to charity. Bottom line - John Burke appears to have little integrity unlike his father (Trek's founder).

Lance could have done that Big spiritual thing on behalf of bike racing after cancer. He coulda said I took EPO, it worked like a nightmare affirmation, I got cancer of the balls. Then he could have taken the lead and done either block chain or reality TV. Just a parallel universe fantasy. But giving the Dodgeball story to kids in cancer wards, low as pond scum.

Armstrong is an unstable sociopath who had everyone fooled, even me, because I truly wanted to believe in the better angels of ourselves. At their prime, riding clean, Greg would have kicked Armstrong’s butt everyday of the week and twice on Sunday’s. You can’t compare Greg’s V02 max of 92+ to Armstrong’s 78. Not only that, but Greg is a better person, period!!!

I’m a huge fan of both Greg & Lance. Remember, Greg’s main income was his bike company. But Greg screwed up when he attacked Lance publicly (he was well aware of the code of silence in the peloton). I believe part of his motivation was to catapult his Lemond bike brand; as well as himself. That was a big mistake. (Greg didn’t have a good advisor back then.) But I know how we can settle this - let’s put them both on bikes and get them out racing against each other. I’d pay to see that!

I don't know what to think of Greg LeMond. I grew up with him as the first American cycling hero. My Dad loved him and I knew about him and his accident when I was a little kid. I thought he was great. He's about as well known for his anti-Lance/anti-doping rhetoric as his 3 Tour wins, which is sad. I keep seeing him talking about Lance!! Maybe it's because journalists keep asking him? While he doesn't come off as 'bitter,' he certainly seems to think about doping A LOT. Maybe he should stop talking about Lance, and just comment on cycling and fitness? 🤔

@@endokrin7897 The thing is that everything in his career points to doping. All his compatriots doped, the people coming before and after him doped, he had all his success after EPO was in clinical tests in California and until it had been on the market for 1½ years, after which he claims that he could not keep up because the others doped, yet in 1989 he was faster than later doped riders. He would have gotten EPO with his accident, his doctors say he was not clean when he came in. His hate for Lance and love for Greg seems to be the driving force.
