Lemur Madness! Sailing through Madagascar- Sailing SV Delos Ep. 98

Madagascar is just one of those places that continues to blow us away! Our friend Rudy drew up a map of one of his favorite spots, which is just a short sail across the bay. We decide to go on an adventure in search of a holy tree, a water fall, and a village supposed to have lemurs and a massive tortoise. Our mission takes us to a small island called Nosoy Momoko where not only do we find everything promised but the locals are having a boat launching ceremony where it takes the entire village to pull it into the water.
Just wanted to mention that most of the music from this video was actually recorded LIVE in Madagascar by some very cool people we met at parties and such. Links at the BOTTOM of the description. Peace and Love to you all and thanks so much for your support! Brian

I couldn't help but think we were watching real life ancient history watching them tug that big wooden boat into the water. Everything except for the modern clothes would have been like they did it 1000-2000 years ago. That so awesome, and we can't wait to start cruising and experiencing stuff like this ourselves. After a long hot walk a cold shower at the waterfall looks so welcome. The tame lemurs are remarkable. Their eyes are like searchlights. I liked the village-wide cooperative effort of the boat launch. I've seen this type of group effort in Maracajau, North-Eastern Brazil when a fishing boat washed ashore in front of my house and needed to be dragged onto the beach for repair. I watched and filmed from my veranda masses of fishermen heaving and tugging on ropes. Thank you for the enjoyable video.

As cool as it was to watch the crazy party of 7, I must say I like this style more.
