Also something to note around Mighty Car Mods: we are normal guys and are not trained mechanics. We like to make interesting car mods and show you how we've gone about it, but we can't promise that anything we show you will work for your particular car, or that you won't harm yourself, someone else, your car or your warranty doing it. Please be safe, be responsible and unless you know what you're doing, do not fool around with very serious machinery just because you've seen us make it look so easy. I honestly think you could get this series played on a free to air tv station. I have the one and only Holden Camira JE 1988 model that has a 1989 Holden (Opel) Calibra engine in it. I did the engine change myself with my brother. It has over 130kw of power and it is just so tough and fast. I would live to try a ride like you guys are doing with my beast one day. :)

***** thanks so much I know that my son who is almost 1 has already been taken to the dark side. lol he loves to ride on my lap and steer the side by side . When his mom tries to take him away from the wheel he throws a fit. I know I have a few years but I think when he is of age I'll give him the mustang I bought then built 10 years ago with my dad in the video on my page and the green 4 door chevelle was my father's and I'll keep it.

if you interested look at the older falcons as well like xy gtho phase 3 and xb coupe. probably 2 of the most famous most popular falcons ever built. I my self had an xf falcon for my first car and im in the process of doing up another one atm. its currently in the middle of a lsd conversion.

I completely agree with your sentiments on the Falcon. Two years ago I drove 3,500km's from Melbourne to southern Western Australia in a '94 Falcon with over 300,000km's on the odo, and it was a flawless, comfortable drive.

Loved it, what a great series. What more can I say, you guys went above and beyond what anyone could have expected from two KZbinrs to produce this. The truth is, you may never receive the recognition that you deserve for this (though I hope you do) but I know the true MCM fans will have loved it as much as any other part of the MCM entourage. Top job!

I absolutely loved this series. The ending of this episode was nothing short of inspiring; its the same sense of amazement I felt after watching Long Way Round for the first time. Two friends, doing what they love! As much as I look forward to the Gramps build, I loved this adventure because remember in your life you are supposed to create stories. Building a car is one thing, but going out there into the unknown, exploring new places, travelling with your mates, meeting new people and hearing their stories, can be life changing. It is one of those things everyone must do once in their lifetime. Well done to everyone involved in this epic project!

I came across this channel when when one of the videos popped up in the recommended section of KZbin a few months ago. Since then I've watched all the episodes. You guys are awesome! This is by far the best channel... And I am not a big fan of modified cars! Keep up the awesome work. I don't if MCM has many fans here in Portugal, but if there are, I am definitely one of them. The Lend us a ride: Australia series was great!

The Aussie Falcon is more Aussie than Holden commodores. Designed and built in AUS and only AUS. Falcons have engines that are only sold and made in AUS. Holdens have Chevy engines, many made in Mexico and other places that are not AUS. Plus Holden is owned by GM anyway. Falcon is a true Aussie icon. Good choice guys.

you are right and have a point. but Ford is American. falcons are also sold in new zealand. plus. the only really Australian designed and built motors Ford aus ever had were the 6 cyl crossflow motors. the v8 motors were technically Australian built but American designed. the 5.4 litre v8 was Australian built and designed and the new 5.0 coyote v8s in the gt and Xr8 are technically Australian built and remapped versions of the ones in the Mustang.

Ive enjoyed watching this series a lot! I've enjoyed the cars and locations and the story's behind each! i know that Ford Falcon would have been tough enough to either get you the rest of the way across Australia or back home, but that would defeat the purpose of the show, i can't wait to see if it was heads or tails! Ride on guys - Ride on!

Brett Voigt do you guys realise in aus you can be driving with nothing on the road for upto 10 hours? lol pretty sure 110km is going to feel like granny speed. not only that but the danger of fatigue. falling asleep at the wheel. especially temperature and lack of water..... come here and drive around the country and then see if your comment is still valid

Some Germans drive 8 hours a day at 200km/h+ In Switzerland the cruise speed indicated is 100 or, but everyone knows the fee u have to pay starts to rise at around 130. So you drive 130.
@deanwilliams4365
@deanwilliams4365 6 жыл бұрын
Brett you need to put this in context the 130 klm limit was imposed at federal it took a few years to get state to be able to remove this. it is hard to explain to people the vast distances involved. its the norm to drive 3-8 hours without seeing another car. there is also the inability simply to police such a law. but the law is that you drive in a safe manor to the conditions. that means even without a speed limit you can not most of the times drive at 150 miles an hour. inreality that is just stupid, road conditions, Kamikaze roos, pigs and worce 1 1/5 tonne of red meat called water buffalo tend to take the edge of any fun or advantage that driving at that speed. the locals tend to drive between 90 and 120 klm. tourists drive faster in their rented cars, but a lot of them die and that's good business as the flat truck pick up is say $6000. ambulance fees say $10000. so dropping the law and encouraging more american tourists is really good for the local economy.

Hats off to the both of you - you've come such a far way since starting off with Season 1, and really do love how schmicko the production is becoming! Keep up the great work =D
