Trotsky was caught off guard by Lenin's position and initially sided with Julius Martov and the Mensheviks in the debate. In any way similar to those ideas that justify over two-and-half centuries now of genocide simply to uphold a capitalist imperialist project emanating first from “liberal” Europe, then including, eventually lead by the “liberal democratic” USA?
