Also any chances you could create some content about the 69 Lagonda 4 door? The one that sits on the extended DBS body? Always been fascinated by the original stretched chassis 4 door db car.

Isn‘t it just striking how the East Coast looks so much more European than the West Coast? Even the light feels like Britain, France or Germany. Jay‘s garage in California? Another planet. Oh, and nice car, too.

lol I thought the car was brand new right as Jay was saying, "it's a timeless design, 11 years old already!", I guess it really is timeless

Actually, the name of the founder of Lagonda is Wilbur Gunn (Automobile Quarterly Vol.7 No.3 p.328; sorry I couldn't help myself). Cheers!

The Lagonda creek is in southwest Ohio. The Chagrin river runs through Chagrin Falls on the east side of Cleveland.

Very enjoyable as always gentlemen ! Back in the late '60's you literally couldn't give away a Lagonda Rapide and l'm not sure the're worth a fortune even today. Thankyou

Th 61 Lagonda looks like it took some styling cies from the Edsel. The 80s Lagonda was and still is super unique. May have been the first car with a computer screen in the dash.

1:38 Before you go disparaging the 'Texas Instruments' dashboard on the William Towns Lagonda, remember what the state of computer technology was in 1976. Steve Jobs made the Apple I in his garage (1 Mhz, 8k RAM), Intel had just developed the 8085 chip (5Mhz!), and the 5 1/4 floppy was invented. Lagonda was a car with on-board computers! It was an absolute freakin' MIRACLE! ...Just a bit o' perspective.

It's kind of sad others especially Ford used this front end design and now took some of the exotic edge out of the look. now other companies are following suit.

Still nothing like the sound of a v12 Austin Martin. Except maybe a naturally aspirated v12 Ferrari. I think these naturally aspirated v12 will someday be classics. All these HyperCars with combined electric motors, batteries, and turbos might have more horsepower but it's killing their soul and character. Like Donald said it's the actual usable horsepower that matters.

Not sure who the gentleman on the left is, but.... he misidentified the cubic displacement of the engine slightly, totally blew the cylinder count, and totally messed-up the horsepower rating as well. So, he blew 3 out of 3 things related to the car's engine. Why is he talking about this particular vehicle then?
@billthompson24783 жыл бұрын
Osborne's more into history and styling than the mechanics of cars. That's one of the reasons he and Leno make such a good onscreen team. He's just not into the nuts and bolts. Hey, we can't all be gearheads. :)

Nothing slow about this car it can do 120mph or 200kph on highways in europe all day long something not many cars can, definitely not the battery powered ones that will run out of juice very quickly.

6 litre V8?????????? Jeeez!!! WTF, Leno! Don't you have an editor??? Plus the sound quality is garbage - the V12 sounded nothing like that... where was the bass baritone? 3/10 at best.
