Now the real question. Is the $600 price increase between last year's and this year's worth it?
@joelconolly55742 жыл бұрын
Hopefully Intel can better utilised or at least make the E cores to be more... well efficient. For those with last year's model you don't need to upgrade since it's only a marginal spec bump for gaming. But for rendering application it's good if you don't mind the power draw and probably save you at least 1 to 2 minutes. Overall a good device for on the go usage, but still pretty great for all use cases. Pricing is gonna be an issue since DDR5 is expensive, Intel, chip shortage yada yada but laptops these days are gonna be up 20% i believe from last year's model. If you bought anything from last year, skip this and 6000 series. You'll be fine.

Heard the 22 had 240hz but don’t see the point as battery life will suffer and the hardware can’t really push any games to 240 at higher settings. I picked up the sexy aliebware 240w adapter chopped the plug to a Lenovo type and it’s much better looking and takes up less space in my 18” aw Orion backpack. I’m good for 5 years or so 👍🏼

Nobody's talking about this, but forums are full of request! (Yep, I sent mine to repair, come back with heatsink fully disconnected and no thermal paste, issue still there like everyone's L5P) Be careful guys! If yours starts doing this, just return it ASAP!

I need to get a new gaming laptop and curious, how good is the fan when this laptop is under stress? I have a MSI GS66 stealth right now (I'm replacing it) and it runs hot. Does this laptop have this issue? I know temperature was mentioned but anyone have experience to give a little more detail? I had a Lenovo in the past and it literally burned out on me so it's a huge concern.

Man I personally hate the number pad especially on a gaming PC also not centred touchpad is ugly!! I do love simmetry
@MatthewMoniz2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you on this one. Don't really need a numpad either but lots of others do feel different.

@@MatthewMoniz i think num pad steals space for good speakers, that's why MacBooks speakers are top notch!

numpad isnt for everyone. also a 'gaming' laptop isnt a laptop where you'll just keep on gaming 24x7. gaming laptops are getting better in overall performances and people do prefer using them for their office work or whatever. some ppl do love them some dont. and i hope having a numpad with a trade off of a not centered trackpad is going to be a deal breaker.

@MatthewMoniz2 жыл бұрын
Your Huawei laptop is definitely not brighter my guess is the Huawei laptop is using a glass / glossy display? If so, that shows colours as more contrasty and vibrant compared to the matte display on the Legion. OR you might have had auto brightness turned on the Lenovo.

All laptops are going to be expensive this year so pricing will be bad across the board. Chip shortage, ddr5 and inflation.

It will blow up and everyone around. I'm kidding it's totally safe to use and won't charge past 100W.
