I adore ultra fast lenses for some reason. They just can't stop amazing me, and I really appreciate the engineering put into them. Nice video man, I'm learning a lot from you!

Same for me... going to extremes is usually the best way to get a clearer understanding of the normal. Thanks... I'm glad you feel that way.

Totally.... you will still need a godlike ISO performance on your camera.

@@MediaDivision Sony a7Sii plus trick the camera with shutter speed. 1/4 second shutter works for landscape. 1/15 can be tolerable for people if they move slow, sometimes. So the camera is stacking images.
@MediaDivision3 жыл бұрын
Of course… but the Kipon Ibelux is not Full Frame… you will have to use a s35 crop. The Mavo LF here looks very good at 10.000 ISO even at 180° shutter. Just saying, putting this on a GH5 will not get you there. The A7s II has a super sensitive sensor, but it lacks the codecs/bitrate/bit-depth/connections to get something post friendly put of it

Thanks for sharing this! I am really curious about this lens. That curvy flare looks beautiful, and the kinda oval bokeh/light balls is particularly cool. Maybe I'll get my hands on one at some point, but the price point... Jeepers.

Dude when you switched to the 0.85 lens with the jogger my jaw dropped that was like the cleanest super lowlight shot I've ever seen! How much is this lens and what body are you using?
@MediaDivision Жыл бұрын
All the information you are asking is in the video... of course. Specs/Prise 1:07 and the used camera / settings are in the left lower corner under the footage. Be aware that current gen FF cameras with super high ISO performance will get you there cheaper and at reasonable DoF... using ultra fast glass is more of an artistic choice these days.

Hey dear MD guys. Just wanted to let you know that for some reason your recent lens videos are not showing up in my subscription videos.
@MediaDivision3 жыл бұрын
@ChannelRejss3 жыл бұрын
@@MediaDivision Alles klar!

I’m interested but the Mk3 better be good, because the new Fuji xf33 is very good wide open at f1.4 and by all accounts this lens is very soft and low contrast until f1.4. Maybe I’m missing the point but f0.85 seems like an expensive gimmick.
@MediaDivision2 жыл бұрын
It is... if you are not in need for the light or in love with the look. Stay away. I can't say I care much for sharp images with high contrast. No image in this whole video would fit that definition
@satchelofdoom15642 жыл бұрын
@@MediaDivision The look is unique and pleasing. I don’t care much for images with high contrast as such, but I do like balanced contrast. I will wait to see how the Mk3 performs, if the colour fringing has been reduced and if it’s an improvement on value for money.
