The Fuji 18 1.4 is one I don’t plan on selling. It’s a perfect street photography lens and I’ve noticed I don’t miss the 2mm more on a 16 mm. I’ve gotten some good compliments on my photos with this lens. As far as the 90 mm F2 goes, I don’t plan on selling this either. It’s great for street photography and for hiking when I want to carry a telephone photo. You can always crop with this lens, especially now that you have a 40 megapixels on Fuji cameras. When you talk about a 33 or 35 F1.0 I don’t see the need for it as the 33 1.4 is fantastic! I use this lenses a street photography lens all the time. I went on B&H photo, and reviewsthey say that the new replacement of the 16-55 2.8 is soft at wide open? I’m not sure if this is accurate, so I’m waiting to hear more reviews from real photographers, not just the pro’s trying to sell it. Otherwise, I’m fine keeping the original version, as it doesn’t make much much difference on quality, just size.

XF 27 or 33mm f1.0 with capable AF would be amazing for night street photography. People often say that FF is better suited for this, but if Fuji ticks all of the other boxes for me already, I really don't want to pick up 2nd system just for that reason.

@@josephdu1952 Indeed! Laowa 33mm f0.95 with AF and WR would be a killer. While I understand that it is not an easy feat to manufacture such glass, for night photography (and arguably portraits - for some of us), clinical sharpness like XF 18mm f1.4 is not even that much desired, as ISO is already quite high - especially with moving subjects.

Sold 90mm twice and repurchased. Never to sell again. Agree has a beautiful look that's hard to describe

Viltrox 27 mm F 1.2 totally underrated one of my favorite lenses felt a little tight at first because I was trying to shoot it like a 23mm also felt a little wide if I tried to completely isolate subjects like a 33 mm. But now after having it for a moment I've adjusted and now it suits me like having two prime lenses it's Ultra sharp it works great in low light yes it's a little heavy it's not a pancake lens I use it with excess 20 and the fact that I have a grip makes it very usable. It honestly reminds me of shooting on full frame

One of my all time favourite trio of lenses are Pentax's FA 31/1.8, FA43/1.9 and FA77/1.8 (all AF glass for FF). These lenses are works of art, you should go google them to even just get an idea of size and what they look like. Pentax were way ahead back in the day and making some gorgeous rendering glass. So yeh, 75/2 is a nice FL and f stop, all in a decent compact package, I know that deal well.

Awesome video, grateful for channels like yours who puts in the time to test the third party lenses. I never knew I was one of the cool kids using only native glass on my x series cameras but you know what a win is a win. Looking forward to what you have coming up in the new year, who knows maybe I will finally get my channel going and pick up a XH-2S for video work.

Awesome video. The 18mm 1.4 - I bought it and returned it. Too much focus breathing for video. For 1.4 I prefer the 23mm and the 35mm. The only third party I’ve tried is the Viltrox 13mm 1.4 - sweet!

I don't shoot my 90/f2 often, but I'm experienced enough to recognize I should NEVER sell it. The new 16-55 ii is a fantastic lens - sooooo much lighter than the original and focus seems to be snappier too. Honorable mention should go to the Sony 24-50 f/2.8 lens - it's perfect for the A7C line.

What are your thoughts on the tamron 20-40mm?
@RandumbTech10 сағат бұрын
@@Iamtongue I tried it out at my local camera store and wasn't really impressed. Lack of aperture ring is a deal breaker for me personally. Stabilization isn't nearly as good either for 3rd party lenses on Sony bodies. I don't think it's a bad lens, but the 24-50 is worth the extra $$ to me.
@ijovy319 сағат бұрын
i always like to get native glass first since there is usually better performance when it comes to things like minimum focusing distance or high contrast situations. but those 3rd party lenses are coming in hot - near native performance for little compromise

18mm 1.4 is Fujifilm's best lens. 16mm has too much distortion. 18mm is right in the ballpark. Focuses just as close. Sharper, faster.
