Not the unsolicited Jankie song. I was listening while at work and it pulled me out of the email I was writing. Thank you for giving us so many great ideas and inspiring me to visit my own cookbooks. Also a big fan of your no oil French fry recipe from your cookbook and use it regularly :) I might make this pie recipe for 3.14 day

I made the same thing today but even easier. I just dumped soy curls, frozen corn, seasonings, oil, nooch, and instant mashed potatoes in a bowl, poured hot water over it, let it sit a few minutes as I stirred it, and it was done. Mashed potato bowl.

I have to soak and squeeze several Times to get all the oils out. They taste funny to me and I like to limit my oil.. they are FULLL of soy oil... then they are soo clean and take the flavor of everything else in the dish...

This recipe looks absolutely amazing! I make Shepherd's Pie often but with beef. So I'm going to try this version next time. I sprinkle shredded cheese on the potatoes before I bake which gives it another layer of flavor. Thanks, Janet ❤

Put your corn in VERY LAST so it don't turn chewy and it will stay crisp ... trust Grandma Shuggies 👵💝✌️

Speaking of kitchen tools, how do you like the Milky Plant? I have the Nama m1 but always wonder about that Milky Plant. Can’t get it where I live though.

Does that say Miomat? That is what I got. It makes better and cheaper milk than the store and isn't that hard to clean. I also made good soups in it. I didn't like the oatmeal from it though. I think she doesn't like the Milky Plant because she is always buying plant milk.

I’ve never had instant mashed potatoes. Do they taste/feel different? Although I don’t find mashed potatoes hard or tedious 😂❤

@ hmmm I’ve never had mashed potatoes from a cafeteria either lol I’m guessing they are softer or mushier. I’ve been served them in hospital (when I had my sons) but they looked translucent and unappetizing so I didn’t try them.
