The LV-10 is the slip-on that Leo Vince developed in collaboration with the best Moto2 and Moto3 teams and that comes directly from their experience in MotoGP and SBK racing. They designed an exhaust system with extremely compact dimensions to grant maximum lightness, the best performance and the unmistakable LeoVince racing sound. Manufactured entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel, the LV-10 body sports a matte finishing and a laser etched LeoVince logo. The rear stainless steel mesh embellishes the sandblasted end cap giving an extreme racing look.
The LV-10 has a deeper, throatier sound compared to stock, and will cut 4 lbs of weight off of the bike.
Tools needed:
1. 5mm hex
2. 6mm hex
3. 10mm hex
4. 12mm hex
5. Pliers or spring tool
6. Thread locker
7. Maxima MPPL or WD-40
8. Shop Towels
Install Instructions:
1. Remove trim pieces from stock exhaust with 5mm hex 2:54
2. Loosen barrel clamp with 10mm hex 3:33
3. Remove passenger foot-peg mounting bolt with 12mm hex and wrench 4:00
4. Remove stock exhaust from bike 4:36
5. Place gasket inside bottom end of mid-pipe 5:58
6. Slide barrel clamp onto bottom end of mid-pipe 6:14
7. Slide mid-pipe onto muffler box with spring loop on the bottom pointing down 6:30
8. Slip LV-10 canister onto mid-pipe. Making sure the canister is bottomed out and the spring loops are lined up 6:40
9. Use carbon fiber mounting bracket to attach canister to passenger foot-peg mount 7:20
10. Use thread locker on mounting bolts, tightening bolts just enough to hold canister in place 7:43
11. Use pliers or a spring tool to install tension spring 9:10
12. Tighten down mounting bolts with 6mm hex and 12mm wrench 9:45
13. Tighten down barrel clamp with 10mm hex 11:00
14. Using Maxima MPPL, WD-40, or similar, wipe down the exhaust to remove any grease or finger prints before firing up the bike 12:07
15. Re-install exhaust trim panel with 5mm hex 12:50

Thanks for watching. This is a model specific part so odds are this will not bolt up to the 2005 ZX10R. Leo does not offer a LV-10 slip on for that bike, sorry. - Van

that muffler does to good of a job, are you able get rid of the muffler altogether? and not need to change the tune or have a fuel controller ??

You can by installing a full system or the M4 street slayer slip on. For the R3 you can ride the bike without a fuel controller as long as you are happy with the performance. - Van

No need to use any lubrication on the spool. Use a little blue loctite when you install them to make sure they do not vibrate off. - Van

Just use rubbing alcohol. WD40 contains oil and if that's similar then I'd use just rubbing alcohol since it evaporates.

Rubbing alcohol can be tough on some surfaces. At this point I have installed a metric shit ton of exhaust systems of all types and have cleaned them with multiple products, IMO WD40 (or equivalent) is the best option. Like anything there are exceptions to this and always read the instructions that came with the system to see if they recommend a product for cleaning the system. - Van

@@sportbiketrackgear whatever floats your boat. Rubbing alcohol evaporates quickly and is amazing for bare metal. I'd say no for anything with cheap paint and or clear coat.

They are pretty similar, I think this Leo is a little deeper due to the shape of the can. IMO both are kick ass on the bike. - Van

INSTALL NOTE: PRE CLEAN THE CAT OUTPUT PIPE BEFORE NEW PIPE INSTALLATION. I didn't do this and it was so difficult to bottom out the new lead gasket
