This reminded me of the day my daughter took me to a yarn shop in her city, Indianapolis, Indiana. Evidently not too many men in that area are crocheters or knitters, because at first the ladies working there were a bit standoffish, but as soon as they really discovered that i actually knew what i was talking about, they were all about showing me yarns and, of course sold me some great stuff. We had so much fun. I also got intriduced to Thai food that day for lunch. What a great day!

I am from UK and I sample knitted two cable mens jumpers for one of his books a few years ago, so I had to smile when I saw you mentioning his wool. He had not brought out his own range then, that came later, what a small world we live in. I have knitted for about 40 years but only taken up crochet the last couple - it finally clicked how easy it really is. Love your videos and your mum is great.

This was a fun video, thanks for taking us along like a dear friend! While I love to go in yarn shops, I often feel out of place and overwhelmed! I love all of the beautiful yarns, but never buy any because I'm not sure what I'd make. I make mostly amigurumi with cheap yarns :) I'd love a video where you show us what you make from the lovely hand-dyed yarn!
