None of the people in these comments even realize that’s what happened to the Irish people. Irish calmly tried to explain this to PP but PP just wanted to melt like a snowflake. Wasted opportunity for a great debate but PP was so obviously out of his depth on something he isn’t educated on that they couldn’t even get to the actual debate. I’ve seen insecure man baby debaters do this before. I guarantee that even if someone agreed to moderate a debate between PP and Irish-PP wouldn’t show. Shame.

This is what I find interesting. The famine was not the cause of so much death, but the British attempts to push out Irish loyalists off their land. The details are foggy as it’s been a while, but iirc potatoes were still being exported from the country and being withheld from people the ruling class wanted out. An over simplification, but more accurate than the standard thing (Americans) we learn in high school.

All subjects can be approached humorously, even those that are controversial or sensitive. However, a joke about a distressing or appalling topic is proper only if the person telling it harbors no ill will or harmful intent towards the group or subject being targeted. The humor arises from the contrast and absurdity, with the subject matter serving merely as its form and tool. The CONTRAST is the joke, the SUBJECT is not. The video captures a heated exchange about the appropriateness of racially themed jokes and the right to free speech, with one party defending their right to find such jokes funny. The conversation delves into the distinction between finding something humorous personally and its appropriateness in the public domain. The individual asserts their belief in the right to free speech and rejects the notion that others should dictate what can or cannot be said in the realm of comedy. "I believe in free speech. Nobody gets to dictate what I can and can't say." Talent as a Factor in Humor and Comedy 02:21 The discussion shifts towards whether the ability to effectively deliver a joke affects its comedic value, drawing parallels to skilled comedians like Bill Burr and Louis CK. There is a debate on whether replicating another comedian's joke with precision can still be considered funny if lacking in originality and delivery. The importance of talent in ensuring the success of a joke delivery is highlighted, suggesting that mere replication is insufficient for humor. "So somebody's only allowed to make a joke if they're skillful in making a joke?" Critique of Personal Humor and Comedy Style 03:41 The debate escalates as criticisms are directed towards the individual's comedic abilities, questioning their style and humor compared to established comedians. The conversation turns towards the individual's perceived lack of talent in delivering jokes compared to professional comedians. Arguments center on the perceived audacity of assuming equivalence in comedic skill with revered comedians like Bill Burr. "this is the audacity of you [ __ ] who piss me off" Emphasis on Skill and Execution in Comedy 06:06 The discussion touches on the importance of charisma, talent, and execution in comedy, indicating that skillful delivery is essential for a joke to land successfully. The mention of reading a joke on paper highlights the importance of charisma and skill in transforming written material into humor effectively. The dialogue emphasizes the critical role of skill and execution in determining the success of comedic delivery. "you could read a joke on paper and paper has zero charisma absolutely none" Racial Jokes and Sensitivity 07:36 It is clarified that finding humor in certain topics like the Potato Famine doesn't equate to finding slavery amusing. The distinction is made between finding jokes about tragic events funny and finding the events themselves humorous. Exploring why certain types of comedy, like satire on South Park, can be perceived as funny without endorsing real-life tragedies. "I find it hilarious when Kenny dies on South Park so if I think it's funny when Kenny dies does that mean I think that when kids are killed it's funny no an idiot can understand that." Analysis of Racial and Gender Stereotypes 15:17 The conversation highlights how comments, often associated with racial stereotypes, can spark heated discussions online. Engaging in name-calling and stereotypes can quickly escalate tensions in online interactions. Demonstrating sensitivity towards racial and gender stereotypes is crucial in maintaining respectful discourse. "Why would it be inappropriate for you to tell someone to use a watermelon with me if I was black but it's totally appropriate for you to use a potato when I brought up the fact because white people are oppressors."

As a comedian who is front of a crowd regularly you had a decent point but your arguments didn't make the points you think they did. He conversely didn't argue the point he was trying to make in any way that made sense either.
