Leshy is a creature from Slavic mythology, the guardian of forests. He can change size and leads animals and trees. The Leshy can cause travelers to get lost in the woods or help them find their way out.

I vaguely remember the Leshy as being dangerous to some. One way to survive an encounter and win its favor was to take off your clothes and wear them backwards. The Leshy would find this amusing and aid the traveler through the forest.

Whoah, thats fascinating we Filipinos have the same thing but its not a leshy, i think it is called the tikbalang a half horse half human like centaur but reverse, if you encounter one just flip your clothes and it will leave you alone, its cool how far our country is but have the same stories but just a little bit different

Leshy, his roles are a lot like what Basajaun is said to do in Basque tales. His name even explains the character Lesh in the recent film Mavka The Forest Song.
