His dead pan is the solid gold standard by which all other dead pan is measured against and found wanting. George Lucas had a general outline and a list of recommendations for the sequels, which Kathleen Kennedy & her team then tossed in the trash. While Lucas is the farthest thing from perfect, as the prequels showed, I still consider his overriding vision to have been the "true canon" that was lost due to the machinations of -the Sith- Disney. The fact that Disney Lucasfilm later admitted they had no overall plan & just wrote what "felt" right at the time only rubs salt in the wound.
