The guys on Reddit are saying that the sale price is based on the average price of the product, not on the current price. So the autosell ammount has nothing to do with the current prices you see on the map. This should be easy to test, just auto sell on the month with the lowest price and the month with the highest price.

hi, the average is based upon the highest and lowest price of the product for the current month. It will take the highest price, lowest price then average that amount in-between. So you will always get less then selling yourself because you, yourself immediately sell at the highest listed buyer each time.

What you didn’t touch on is that auto sell price is pretty much base price. Graph fluctuations don’t apply to it. However, if you sell manually at the wrong month, you can sell for less than the base price as fluctuations go higher or lower than the base price. In that case auto sell will be higher profit. Same will be if you sell manually at the best price, the percentage of loss for auto sell will be higher.

Other thing to note is it will sell for the best price at the time. If you wait till the prime month you’ll net even more profit.

I thought the loss from auto selling was 35%, did they change that at some point. At 10% loss it's not really that bad to just set everythying to auto sell.

When you have a lot of production and big map...few times il pick and sell but later i dont care...take that 20% and move same with distribution.

Yeah it takes an average of all the available sell prices of whichever product.
