Thanks for the videos and all you do. I used the force choke on a higher belt tonight. I didn't push my fist into his throat. I just used the zip-tie method to make the grip tighter. I felt like I had the opportunity to tap him. He arm-barred me, but it was worth it. I'm going to try the evangelist control, too.

I'm a white belt and have gotten brown belts with the force choke. No one knows wtf it is. Try it by sticking your arm up their gi. Have your arm come out on the same side it went in on. Next grap deep on the collar on the other side with your thumb in. Once they go to pull away they'll choke themselves.

Yep. The muzzle and the face crank. I used the muzzle once for fun, but I refuse to do the face crank. Too much pressure on the teeth. Older guys like me don't like messing around with teeth too much. I've had 3 broken teeth so far and I'm about a year and a half. :) Even with a mouth guard...

My buddies and I smother choke each other all the Fucking time. It's literally all we look for because we find it hilarious and it's legit. It's only a dick move if you're dead serious and don't have a good repoire with your partner. But if you land it and then laugh it usually lightens the mood enough for everyone to find it funny.
@InVancouverBC66
@InVancouverBC66 Жыл бұрын
Very nice! Smother chokes work so well. I play around with this with a friend of mine. Always amazing to see how much shorter I can hold my breath when the mouth and nose are covered by his hand . And vice versa. I think I can hold my breath longer without the hand smother

I bet your rolling partners fucking love ya. Haha I'm the opposite of you. I'm a big roly poly muscle guy, so I'm the guy who invites people to try their nasty shit on me so they can practice for street or comp. Haha The head coach likes to use the "double bear claw" on the neck. Last time he did it, I just growled and flipped him on his back. Not exactly according to plan. But we still had a good time. :) I've had a couple twisters on me by my high level 10p buddies, but no banana split yet. That will be fun.

I don't advocate using these on a training partner, I just think these are the roughest moves I can do. I am a 230 lb amateur strongman, I don't rough people up I let them rough me up much like yourself. Have a nice day sir.
@eschelar
@eschelar 4 жыл бұрын
@@nicholasneyhart396 Nice. I'd probably love rolling with ya. I'm the weird guy who likes rolling with the guys who everyone else hates rolling with because they're too big, too strong or too rough.. or all of the above... although it sounds like you're actually more of a teddy bear in actual rolling. ;) I'm a 240lb amateur powerlifter who hangs out with strongman lifters too. I guess we'd probably both be like, "OK man, don't be afraid to give me a bit of grief." and have a grand old time on the mats.

@Toni Long i realize you're joking but i find it ridiculous that people can go to bars and get wasted and order food in a crowded room but we can't go stay fit and learn jiu jitsu. we were taking precautions and for the 3 months we have been open no one has gotten covid. we take temperature checks, no spectators and you only have one training partner in your own section of the mat. i don't see why we can't roll when we're being safe.

Cool video! The unwritten rules of any sport is always nice to know.. like in baseball, you don't bunt if the pitcher has a no-hitter going, it's nice to know they're there to use, but just be mindful of what could happen if you do go down that road. I'm a new BJJ student so any info I can get is appreciated

Thank you for the video. I am not in the sport yet, but I am also 35. Some friends of mine are teaching me things, just for fun, and to hopefully prepare me for whenever I start in the fall, if that’s possible. However, one of these friends likes to kick out with both feet, making the land on my back. Somehow, I don’t think this is a jujitsu move, but I don’t know of course. However, he says that it is, and he is only a white belt. I don’t know if kicking out with both feet is proper BJJ or not. Please help me understand. Thank you
