Thank you Dr. Ahmad. Sometimes you can see radiolucent dots throughout the maxilla and mandible on a panoramic radiograph. Are those nutrient canals?

Hi Julie, without seeing the a radiograph, my answer may be wrong. If you see many dots, specifically in the inferior border of the mandible, it might represent osteoporosis. Nutrient foramina will usually be near the alveolar crests. Stay safe!
