Just hit goal this week after two years and losing 110+ pounds of regain! I totally am with you on low carb life, for me it's the only way. Protein & produce FTW. MGB in 2009, modified to RNY in 2012. Always remember if you keep doing the right things, the weight loss will catch up. My first year I lost 170 pounds, but I was also over bypassed.

I always find so much wisdom in your videos. Thanks for making them :) I am pretty newly postop, only 8 months, but I am always changing things, and I like being able to do that, and it's nice to know I'll still be able to (or I'll still need to) down the road. Always looking forward to your next vid. XO

Totally the same with me. I have to do low carb/high fat, but not strict keto. I'm glad you're back!

I gave up sugar and actually ended up doing the whole30. The HARDEST thing for me was my coffee. I put Splenda in all my 9 cups of coffee a day :) I actually started buying flavored coffees (hazelnut and French vanilla) and then got the same flavors of Nutpod creamers. They are no sugar added half almond milk and half coconut milk coffee creamer's - I find them on Amazon. They are the absolute best tasting and with hazelnut creamer and hazelnut coffee I didn't miss the sugar!!

Seems like a sensible plan to me. I was eating really low carb for all of May and June and then went on a bender on Friday/Saturday and I felt it. I wanted to die on Saturday night. The carbs bloated me so bad. I didn't realize how terrible it was but now that I've had my tummy tuck I just can't handle that kind of bloating without MAJOR consequences and discomfort. It was so brutal. Lesson freakin' learned. Also, bless you if you go through with the sugar detox. I had to give up coffee briefly for the first month before and after WLS but I quickly picked it back up because I wanted to murder people...and I never quite gave up on sugar substitutes because our shakes did have them. But I was down below 20g of sugar a day early on in my plan. It's REALLY hard to manage that, especially when you start eating larger quantities of food and adding fruit in to the mix.

getting the sugars out will help a lot if you can power through. It's not easy but worth it.

Ha! You "swoosh" just like me, I get my losses the week after my cycle. Check out some videos about the swoosh, it's pretty interesting.

I was going to suggest maybe a 10 day sugar free fast. 30 days is SO LONG, to me. I like doing 10 days of no junk here and there. It helps me get a grip when I feel like I have been snacking and reaching for junky stuff a lot.
