I think the role of Christian family members is also brought here in strengthening and shepherding their loved ones to Christ. Barnabas understood his cousin. Through love and shepherding, we now have a John Mark who's very useful to Paul and held highly by Peter. Let's not give up on family members. Christ has put us in those famil8to be role models with a Christlike character that never gives up on one another. The same should apply in the congregations . Thanks and have a blessed Sabbath

I think that Barnabas must have had some infuence on Mark and may have contributed to his writing as much as Peter and Paul. Nothing of this ministry by Barnabas and John Mark in Cyprus was mentioned in the Bible. Therefore, the gospel of Mark is telling us today that it was a success because of the the growth of Mark in the ministry.
