I first heard this tune in 1987. Just drove out to Los Angeles from New Orleans by myself. Was riding around Hollywood Blvd one late morning in the passenger seat, this tune came on and I just disappeared into it. Pretty surreal moment. Have loved this tune ever since!

Neil Finn is probably my favorite musician. I have seen solo, the brothers and the Crowdies multiple times. He is such an incredibly charming guy in addition to being an amazing songwriter. One reason I like your videos is the background info. You have such a genuine enthusiasm and appreciation for the music and the production.

I'm from Australia, even though Neil Finn is from New Zealand, we Aussies adopted him, Crowded house had a lot more great songs, one that comes to mind is Four Seasons in one day, and there is a great Split Enz song called Message to my girl, just another great song from a talented song writer. Also not sure if you have heard the acoustic version of INXS Don't Change, but i think that would make a great lesson.

Bro, super stoked to learn this - cheers; such a cool way of teaching guitar. i just returned to New Zealand after years abroad, bought a sweet new Taylor GSmini today and wow, loving this crazy-beautiful and nostalgic tune. yep, those brothers wrote amazing music. nicely done. que bueno, amigo, genial. i'll look up more of your demos and lessons, now, f'sure. thanks again. keep sharing the goodness. you're a true master.... it's really no surprise, but I heard a great Italian cover of this song - which has always been hugely popular over there, too. infact they argued it was a classic Italian song at first! good music crosses borders, oceans, stereotypes and brings people together. Viva Crowded House!

Btw, if one wants to emulate organs, cellos, flutes, sax, Rhodes pianos etc, ( without a midi guitar) check out these 2 stomp boxes: Mel9 and Key9, both by ElectroHarmonex. Not as good as Midi samples, but damn close and a lot easier. Demos here on KZbin.Respectfully,Hooch

In the Late 80's I played with Dick Wagner( Alice Cooper & Lou Reed Guitarist/Songwriter ) , But now , I enjoy just playing in a really good Cover Band .I also enjoy Tim Pierce , He mentioned you on one of his videos about how good your video's are , and Tim Pierce is one of the top Session Guitarists around .You've put allot of work into your playing , I just thought you would like to hear how much you are appreciated. I just paused to tell you which one of your video tutorials was my favorite , but too many came to my thoughts.( Mississippi Queen was one ) Just keep "em coming , I would hate to have to go back to old school as I did in the late 70's and 80's with the turntable , and picking up the needle and placing it back and forth all day to figure out songs ...lol
