Hey man thank you for sharing this tune. I heard it on Sirius radio the other day and I went for a ride back in time. I was 4 when this came out but my folks use to play Al Wilson all the time. Really enjoyed playing the chords and I promise I will drive 1980's alternative wife out of the house with it!!!! :) Keep on strumming brother.

Fantastic. You flip the channel on and see the wall of amps and think you will hear Pantera or some AC/DC (disregarding the Roland in the corner) and you get some Al Wilson. Yeah, I will subscribe.

I knew it... after talking about this song as being ONE of your favorites ever written, I was EXPECTING a lesson real soon...lol! When this song came out, we couldn't get enough of it. But, I put put it in my mental file drawer to be on the level of Mrs. Jones and Wildflower, which both came out a little before this one, when I was in high school. Now, MY favorite song ever written is Wichita Lineman ... Jimmy Webb...and I'm not even a country guy, unless the song is good. That one's perfect imho...Thanks for posting this great song, Dave!

Love this! This is great! Thanks for this! I think you pretty much nailed it. Classic soul/pop song! Love how you showed the G6 part of the pattern, which I agree with you-is integral to the song's flow. I love how the G6 is kind of the "bounce off" chord (like the G#min is the bounce off chord for the Spinner's "I'll Be Around" which I was just messing around with) This is a great lesson. Nothing to me sounds "off" whatsoever with your chords. Thanks!!

Just want to join all the other people in saying thanks for demystifying a lot of our favorite ballads . I've been working o The Gino Vinelli tune "Wheels of Life" and I'm stuck. If the chance comes up would love to see your interpretation of this classic song. Once again thanks for your tutorials. They are appreciated!

Excellent tune. Dave, did we ever discuss "That Girl" by Stevie in your live chats? Not too shabby either.

@@DavesGuitarChannel I would love to see you do a lesson on that one myself. I tried playing it one time from some tabs-that happened to be pretty good but I think you probably would teach it really well.
