Yeah they are called the SFA. I bought the CD DVD combo and the band is officially called Jonathan Davis and the SFA! And they are amazing!
@TheRealVeigar Жыл бұрын
@@martialartistgamer8572 The group he is referring to was actually just called Jonathan Davis. It was the band to tour his Black Labyrinth album. Jonathan and the SFA had an entire different lineup for the newer line up had Ray on drums, and replaced Ravi L. Shenkar, Shane Gibson (RIP), and Miles Mosley with other musicians and toured in 2018/19. Jonathan and the SFA were playing back in 2007-2014. Ravi being a very close family friend, I felt like the new guy did 0 justice to what Ravi can do both vocally and on the violin. Ravi taught Jonathan all of the chants and indian/tribal grooves/sounds that we hear today. If you go back to that DVD, there is a part where Ravi is teaching Jonathan how to play violin and most of his practice with Ravi was on stage with the SFA.

The "Spotify One" is from the album and has a John Davis vocal impersonation. Both the movie and the soundtrack have two people singing at the same time. In this case, it's David Draiman and either Jon Davis (movie) or the other guy (album). The whole idea being that Lestat's voice is so hauntingly impossible because it's literally two voices coming from the same mouth.

This fictional music video is so incredibly fascinating to watch because there are so many references to the mythos and lore of the Vampire Chronicles universe, chiefly through the inclusion of the child actress who is supposed to represent Lestat's remorse for having indirectly/and directly (depending on who you ask because The Brat Prince is of course an unreliable narrator in his own recollection of his life's story) caused Claudia's death and of course, the references to so many legendary films of the Silent Era and their visual design through the Germanic Expressionistic movement. I truly appreciated the rich intentional nods to highly influential pillars of gothic cinema; such as the likes of "The Cabinet of Dr. Calagari"; "Nosferatu", "A Fool There Was" "The Siren's Song"; and of course "The Avenging Conscience."

The best thing about songs is that each one finds a way to treat you to something like no other. For good songs that is at least, and this, amongst the soundtrack, and a lot of the work from Jonathan, and with KoЯn too, all have little ways to sink their tones into you. This song, amongst others will always find ways to creep out from within the deep recess of my mind, if I somehow manage to go a year without listening to them. Cause the moment you hear nearly any of their songs, you're given a feeling and a memory, one you'll, if you hopefully enjoy it, will hold onto. It'll only evolve, but those feelings will never fade, they may change, but sticking is what they're good at. Music may not be a big part if my life, but everytime when I hear something so good, I just can't help, but wish it was.
