I wouldn't really say it's fear? Black women's hair is our crown. It is apart of our personality and how we take care of it is how we show we care about ourselves. Some women couldn't understand why they see other women just destroying their hair and I'm sure some of them are also wondering why other black women are cutting their hair since we were taught to protect it and never cut it, I do believe we have the right to do with what we want to our hair.
