Tanjiro's motivation *isn't* to avenge his family, though. He's motivated by 1) finding a cure for his sister (which can probably be obtained by beating Muzan) and 2) preventing other families from having to go through what his did (by stopping Muzan). That Muzan gets fucking wrecked in the process of those goals is incidental, Tanjiro's not out here on a vengeance quest -not even against Muzan, who would absolutely deserve it if he was. Also: Nezu is not bloodthirsty. Or, she is, but she's in control of herself.

@@DannyMotta That's only partially true. The main source of her control is willpower. The hypnosis is like a last defense in case she loses control.
@sam_sa092 жыл бұрын
@@DannyMotta it was already established that that hypnosis was not her sole motivation when she started to see tamayo and yushiro as humans when they’re demons. Simply revisiting those small dialogues and plots would go a long way in better understanding characters. Can we talk about how the sleep demon gave everyone ideal dream worlds, and IN HIS OWN PARADISE DREAM WORLD Rengoku has his asshole of a father present? Like, he LOVED being a good big brother SO much, that he was even thankful for his trauma because it MADE him a good big brother. That remained a part of his dream world because without it, he wouldn't be able to help his little brother. His dream world is literally him sacrificing himself and his own well being to help others. That's the world he wants to live in more than anything. Fucking holy shit, man...

I related to a lot of the things you were saying, it hit especially hard when you said the stuff about us having personal beef with Akaza because Muzan took Tanjiro's family but Akaza took Rengoku from the viewers. Hi! Manga reader here! The worst thing about rengoku's death in the manga is that, while in the movie we see his death from his perspective, we see it from tanjiro's perspective. So we see this wounded, broken man with glazed over eyes asking someone we can't see if he did his part, if it was okay for him to rest. And then when tanjiro asks him who hes talking to, he smiles and then just.. Stops responding. Rengoku's death wrecked me emotionally.

I am amazed to hear you'll be covering Spirit. Amazed and extremely excited. Please, at least for that video, I'd love to hear your analysis portions. I think the mix of comedy and analysis is really well suited for you. But if editing videos like that is taking too long, there are two ways to counter it. The first is for if you don't know what order the clips will take. It sounds like, in this video, you experimented with the placement of segments and clips a lot and changed the structure several times in the middle of development. To a degree, this is inevitable, but if you want a more solid plan going into your next project, you should make a blueprint. After having scripted yourself, even as vaguely as writing 'insert rant section here', attach shorthand notes saying what scene you want to play over which sentences and paragraphs. The descriptor can be as vague as 'something from that scene in the canyon', just so long as you get the gist in the future. It can help a lot. Now the second counter is for the busywork, you need to make shortcuts for yourself. Either literally in that you bind keys to actions and get used to mastering those keystrokes to speed up the process of editing, or you need to concede any perfectionism you may bear as an editor and acknowledge when holding on this clip for the whole paragraph is 'good enough'. Don't be afraid to cut corners if it takes the pressure off.
