Same thing for me. I have a boyfriend now who sees me but just recently my best friend of 20 years dumped me. I realized she’d been making a mental list our entire friendship of every moment I ever did something weird and now was holding it against me. My heart is broken and I’m confused. I just wish I’d known sooner so we could have talked it out, not in texting, and save the friendship.
@tinydream
@tinydream 11 күн бұрын
But to add to that, it’s been a few days since she did that and I’m starting to realize it may be a blessing in disguise. She essentially hid herself our whole friendship and then judged me for being myself. I love her so much but that’s super toxic and even being alone is better than having friends like that.

I often think of the lyrics from The Smiths 'Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now' when Morrissey sings, 'In my life, why do I give valuable time to people who don't care if I live or die?' But then I've been 'too much' for most people for as long as I can remember, and I simply no longer care. On the down side, nobody has ever actually bothered to 'show up' for authentic me and neither has it awarded me with anything other than being alone. Their loss.

@@makelifemedicine I recently heard someone say that it takes a lot of energy to be who you're not. And that really stuck with me. Suppressing yourself for the benefit or comfort of others to the point that you become afraid of of letting anyone really see *you* - whether out of fear of judgement or ridicule or whatever - is bullshit. And if people who *do* see you tend to shy away or avoid you - fine. Sacrificing your self worth on the altar of someone else's opinion is a waste of valuable time and energy better placed elsewhere.

Hey, Cait! This video was released 3 days ago. That's fine. I needed to hear it. I'm not suffering from fear of missing out. I accept that not many understand me. This keeps me healthy. I know I'm not here to please everyone. If people want to talk then they'll do so. It's in the right time. I am shown this every day. The timing hit strongest almost 2 weeks ago. The timing was right when I stayed home. I helped my mother with my brother. Things are coming together. I imagined them. I had put in faith. Taken action when called for. 2:16 one thing about me, anytime something out of the norm happens, I’m looking up the “spiritual meaning” 😂 this is what I found “A bird flying into your window can symbolize a new change in your life, like a new job or relationship. It may be a reminder to believe that good things are coming in your future. A bird crashing into your window can also be a reminder to listen to your gut and trust your intuition.” & “spiritual meanings and symbolism, including change, an end to suffering, a message from heaven, angels watching over, a warning sign, and financial stability”

@ incredible, this must be what mutual understanding feels like 🥹🫶 I did a quick lil google to find a word for that, and found this “confluence of inner light, wisdom radiates, compassion blossoms, and mindfulness takes root to grow the garden of the soul awakening. A confluence is where two or more things merge into one. The word comes from the Latin “confluentia' meaning 'flowing together” I just love that, and that I’m in a place to receive what you are sharing; it’s invaluable information, but I would maybe have felt personally attacked or something if I had come across it in this past. I clicked on your channel, organized your videos old->new and laughed so hard when you started the video off YELLING indisputable truths at me 😂😭 what a gem 💎 you, your channel and your content are. You can’t fake the funk with me, I can totally relate to craving REAL. Okay last thing- i can’t remember which creator/video but I recently heard someone on YT say that in a scientific study, authenticity was not only the strongest/highest possible [vibration?] but it was 4000x as strong as [its opposite/inverse?] I didn’t verify it, but I absolutely believe it lol bc as the song goes “ain’t nothing like the real thing babyy 🎶” haha.

@makelifemedicine I agree with your points but I don't understand the ones that are seemingly conditioned to misery and refuse to believe they don't have the power to do anything about it. I feel that with pain and suffering some normalize these feelings as "the way life is," my family of origin for example is this way but I have also had colleagues and friends with this same mentality. The rejection of personal growth is astonishing and saddening. I've always questioned things and for this reason I believe I was able to more easily become aware and reflect. A series of events triggered a revelation for me and since then I woke up to my conditioning and am exercising those demons every day. I believe we are here to learn in this lifetime and our breakthroughs may not align. Through these breakthroughs we find our way.
