Check into buying soda straight from the local supplier for coke and Pepsi. That way you could simply place an order every so often and then run it from a garage or storage unit where they drop it off at to your stores. You might need to buy a van like the transit or a minivan without the mid and back row seats. So you can haul supplies and equipment easier between the different business locations.
@TonyyToledoo3 жыл бұрын
Usually buying from them ends up meaning you have to sign a contract stating you can only buy from them. I could be mistaken tho but thats what my experience has been whenever I contact manufacturers for products for my vending business.
@Mellow.213 жыл бұрын
@@TonyyToledoo there’s loopholes they say “carbonated beverages” this obviously isn’t every contract but that’s why places can sell like juice or water and other options but yea lots of the time you can only work with them but tbh who would chec the machines and if you partner with PepsiCo they have all the drinks anyways lmao so why care bout being in a contract
@TonyyToledoo3 жыл бұрын
@@Mellow.21 They will send people to randomly check the machines. And then the vending owner is held liable for anything stated on the contract as a result for breaking it. I know a local vendor who got in trouble for it, he had a machine under Pepsi but sold coke in it. I think it got reported by another vendor who saw him as competition and wanted to take him down by reporting him. Its too much for me so I just order from Sam's Club and Walmart and a couple local sources for my vending machines

@@magnumopus9058 Well it, depends. If you have a 1/10000 error on a microcontroller or PLC, it might not be a big deal. I work with moving equipment that can kill people, damage products, and hurt reputations. I've noticed that relays, sensors and other peripherals give stray errand values that may cause malfunctions, and the personal liability and responsibility for others makes me uncomfortable enough to use higher grade controllers. Specifically we were using a PI arduino combo to actuate relays and pneumatic cylinders and false sensor values in combination with stray relays damaged 25k in equipment. One thing you learn real quick, when you own or repair any machines that accept cash, is that money is very dirty. Mei makes pretty good systems for cash. 90% of my repairs are resolved by just giving them a good PM cleaning. No matter how well you take care of such systems, there is always that user issue. Unfit bills - Torn, taped, etc. Foreign matter or fake matter jamming it up. Upgrading to swipe or ICC card acceptance is def a good move, so many people do not bother with cash. Just sucks paying that host fee. Flip side is not having to mess with buckets of cash. I do believe though that for some, paying with coins is nostalgic, and I also feel somehow there is a psychological marketing effect that makes some feel they are getting better value

The cash machine discussion hits home for me. I can not stand a service station like parking, car wash, etc that doesn't offer visa or debit visa payment. It's so fast and convenient to enter a pin or nowadays just to tap and go, I can see it becoming more and more of a draw and a deterrent to customers if not available. Especially since I don't carry cash anymore so I'll actively drive an extra few minutes to a spot that does accept a card. And obviously the big bonus is having a lot less cash to manage on the day to day.
