felt like the last episode.. im so hyped for more! thanks for all this incredible well and intense teaching. Your RPG Playlist is one, if not the best in depth Tutorial I've ever seen. It feels like school, very informative, but fun and interesting. There is so much more i could say.. thanks! (:

It was at this episode that I realised I really need a new PC, what are your current specs or if they have changed since this video do you remember what they were at the time?

Still using the same, but my PC, when the series started, was an absolute beast. I figured PC prices would come down a lot and sure enough, they have. The key piece is a 3080Ti GPU. What I would say is that if you only want to make 1-2 of the 4 quadrants, that is totally fine. When we get into the meat of gameplay we end up making a new level which is clean and therefore much more performant. The number of assets and parts of this level are more to learn various aspects of the engine- not essential to match it precisely.

What you can also try is to be way more aggressive with the optimization tricks he teaches. For pebble path density I choose half of what he uses. For foliage, I set the minimum LOD to something like 2. I cull way more aggressively too, and make sure to place assets in such a way that it's not as noticeable. It's good practice and when I looked ahead in the playlist I saw that we'll be using this level for many more episodes to come, so it's better to make your map less pretty than to struggle with 20 fps all the time.

hello! I have a question - I downloaded park city assets and copied them exactly as You said. I can access them through CDrawer however it seems that the materials became "offline". When I place an asset in a scene its material slots are empty. So I end up with just a gray mesh. When I'm trying to access the materials from corresponding Material folders I can see the miniatures showing OK. But when I'm double clicking them and enter material editor - it's just gray checkers... What did I do wrong? Thank U! Awesome job You're doing :)

Hi Piotr, I would try migrating the assets via this method: docs.unrealengine.com/5.1/en-US/migrating-assets-in-unreal-engine/ If that doesn't work, feel free to join the Discord and we can see if we can help you figure it out

@@NumenBrothers Hi, Thanks for a great beginning to learning game development. I have always been more interested in game development, and struggled with coding too. You made me excited about building games again! I am however still having issues with this migration using 5.3.2, any ideas?

problem solved, I needed to migrate from the city park project to content folder of my project :D
