I love hearing you share! I’m a mom of 10- our oldest is 21 (and married for almost a year) and our youngest is 6. We’ve been through all the stages and let me tell you some truth! Teenagers are fabulous! When you invest in them as young children (as you are) and really just pour love and Jesus into them, it’s incredible to see them embrace that and begin to function independently. Our teenagers strike up some of the best and funniest conversations. Our young adults are fantastic to spend time with and you know what, they LOVE spending time with us too!! When all we had was 5 children 6 and under I heard the same lies about teenagers and I decided then and there that I would not let Satan steal away the joy of these growing souls! I just kept pouring into them and praying for the beauty that was to bloom! God is never outdone in generosity and it’s amazing.

What a pure and loving video of a good Catholic woman! Truly an inspiration to me! Weekly videos would be nice, I love learning new things and new ways to dress and the reality of life from a good Catholic woman like you! God is great, all the time! I’m a thirty something year old and it’s nice to see good Godliness being shown in today’s world. ❤

I had similar happen. I have a very difficult time having patience with my 6 year old who has some behavioral problems. One day after praying for patience , I was hit with issue after issue and lost my cool and suddenly it was revealed to me like, ‘hey, I’m trying to give you the chance to learn how. Parenting can be a ticket to sanctifying you’. And I’ve been blown away since!

Nothing is lost, so even if it took all lent for you to realize the lesson He was showing, you...your heart was open to receiving His gentle correction. I would say that is a successful lent! Praying for your Grandfather…your entire family. We were not blessed with children, but we have many children in our lives. We love them, enjoy them and most certainly worry and pray for them. Your family life sounds awesome, I grew up with 5 siblings, I was the baby (I’m 60, now) and church, praying and family time we’re always priorities for our parents. Your kids will carry that with them…you are an awesome mom, just like mine! (She’s 87 and Dad is 96 in a few weeks!) ❤️

Thank you for this ❤️ This Lent was a dark time. I was doing the 33 days with morning glory and got attacked every step of the way. I still haven't been able to complete the consecration because of it I have to go to confession. I have come into Easter more peaceful and reliant on Mary and Jesus. I also have asked for more help with my children which is hard. Gardening is surprisingly therapeutic and we are doing a big one this year and hopefully it will create creativity and repairing of our family. The warm weather has been so beautiful and helpful.

I love that my 5 children are getting older too! You could start going to theme parks and water parks! The baby stage is so short and eventually there's always a last baby for everyone! Enjoy the family :) I used to always have another baby on my mind and wanting a 6th child and now I'm finally realizing that I'm meant to enjoy this season of life with the kids I have already ❤

Heather, I just had newborn twins 9 weeks ago. I also have two toddlers 3 and 5 years old. I am in that season of life that you talked about that is survival mode. I just want to read a book, bake bread, or have a shower lol. It is so hard. Please pray for me! I'm looking forward to a couple years from now where I have a bit more freedom but I'm trying to enjoy these little babies because I know it goes by fast. I'll be praying for your grandfather and that God's will be done! I want to be more present with my children so I too am trying to give up IG and Facebook. I just don't want these days to escape me because I'm starring at my phone. God bless Heather and thank you for sharing with us! The teenage years with our sons were fine. However, homeschooling jr. and sr. high helped, and having good friends. We pulled them out of public school when the oldest was in the 4th grade. The teachers were getting arrogant and anti-parent, and the boys’ friends were nice but the parents let them do whatever they wanted. They were only going to be bad influences by the time jr. and sr. high came around. Mine are now adults, go to church every Sunday, and work professionally. They are our best friends.
