There are great Nannies, out there. When you get one make sure you invest in them. 3. Let's normalize not putting so much pressure on our Nannies. One person cannot do everything perfectly. If you can find a way to create a supper system for them, do so.

Thank you for sharing your experience with homemaking. It is a hard job and if you are working and don't have the help you will lose your mind. And what you shared about how it affected your marriage lol totally relatable. And getting a helper who understands their role is amazing and seemingly so rare. I was talking to my mom yesterday about how in my experience people in the rural north have help all the time. it's not a luxury but it's a norm that every home has help, be it family or not. there is a helper especially when there are kids in the family. Even if you are a SAHM you cannot do it all and be sane and happy. and like you said unhappy wife unhappy home. we really are the heart of our families and homes. She has her own bedroom which has a bathroom inside our house. She is never really in our space when there is no need because she understands there’s boundaries. I didn’t even have to address the boundaries convo. Fortunately we have a tv room upstairs so we told her she is welcome to watch tv or chill there during her lunch break or when she has no work to do. She eats what we eat. Including takeouts. And I also asked her what other quick foods and fruits she enjoys/prefers so I ensure there’s stuff in the fridge that she can prepare to eat for herself during the day.
