i meant to add a few things just to clarify! i’m not at all upset/fed up of talking about ed recovery but there is only so many “honour your extreme hunger!” messages i can send 😂 1. i have started to archive my instagram posts on a blog that you can search/filter for particular topics - millyrecovers.blogspot.com/?m=1 2. i have made a google form if there is a topic you would like me to make a post on - forms.gle/Ns2sLCCaTHtVigyS6 thank you for the continued love and support ❤

Hi Milly! I can relate so much with what you are saying.. finding content about ed recovery is what made me try to recover and helped me trough it. But now i need to do something else than recover and even though it is kinda scary i know i am recovered now and i can let go with this content ❤

hi Milly!!! bout 2:40 Dani Fernandez, i used to follow her because i thought 'oh finally a brown girl is being shown with an ed and in recovery maybe i can relate to her'. triggered me SO badly even when i relapsed i literally could not consume her content (ive since deleted social media) as everything was SO obviously disordered, body checking, rituals, having obsessions with the same food that looked boiled every .single .day, structured times, more body checking, showing how even more thin she was back then, plain out orthorexia. as someone with an ed for over a decade, i think content creators should truly hold themselves to a standard ESPECIALLY those covering ed content since there IS a competitive aspect to it, i truly thought i was doing well but theres only so far boiled sweet potatoes, protein bars, organic foods, yoghurt and natural peanut butter can get me. its marketing a false sense of recovery that is in turn literally fueling young people into making themselves as sick as possible to feel validated. i can only consume you and ro. thats it, i REFUSE to watch anyone else, recovery content almost killed me.

I agree. the worst new one is em fitx, who is promoting exercise addiction and has gained no weight only muscle but is running marathons

@@chloeburton8224 oh my goood thank you i thought i was the only one thinking that. Like it’s sooo disordered, and i saw that every comment (even polite ones) trying to say it, she deleted. So it makes me so upset that people in recovery take her as an example :c

If you feel ready to let go of the 'in recovery' title then that's brilliant. I think videos titled 'my life after recovery' 'what I do in a day post-recovery' will be really bold and helpful to see for a lot of people. I think we need to build a stronger community for post-recovery too so people can embrace fully letting go of their ED.

omg i can tell you how much i was thinking about this lately. at first i thought following recovery channels helped me, and it did (sort of), but now that i have made progress, many many recovery accounts are only making me go backwards. Like, appart from you, ro mitchell and a few others, i feel like most of them don’t realize how triggering they are. maybe its time to take a step back :) you are so right to say all of this, good for you!! Sending you love xx

i'm so so proud of you for reflecting on this! i think at the start of recovery it is so helpful to feel that community, but so many of the 'big' recovery accounts (i agree - except ro haha) are sort of 'holding on' to the identity of being in recovery. and i don't mean that in a hateful way at all, it's just hard to fully recover when so many people are clinging on to recovery around you x

Yes, yes yes! So true that some of them don’t know how much they trigger. It is because they want to prove how sick they are. And I mean you can’t blame them, it is their illness. But there is no need to share it online

I’ve been covering this ( identity) in my recovery journey. I’m working with a book that my ED team suggested. It’s called. “ A cognitive interpersonal Therapy Workbook for Treating Anorexia Nervosa” “The Maudsley model” There are some other chapters at the end that may help you and for content in your channel. Such as relapse prevention plan etc - moving on. I hope you don’t mind me saying.

Tbh for me, the recovery space is kind of triggering. It makes me thinking of ED all the time. It’s so valuable that you’re keen on expanding.

I love this, I feel like I'm watching my older sister ready to graduate and move on, knowing that one day I'll be able to do that too. You give me hope, and I'm looking forward to seeing what direction your channel takes in the future!
