I love this kind of chat. It does some demoing but, it has a lot of info on learning sources, and best of all, it has the history of the craft.

Thank you for the chat Kelly. In preparation for the towel weave along, I’m going to order the heddles and materials today since it can take a while to get. 💕

Good thinking. That's another reason I wanted to mention it early, so people can start thinking about what they need.

So lovely to hear you chatting while I had my morning coffee break! I'll be back at my warping board later today to start another prayer shawl. 🙂 x

Thank you Kelly. Always enjoy your informal chats and encouragement as a relatively new weaver. Question: if I was to try two heddles and I only have one, do I attach the new one behind the existing holder?
@KellyCasanova
@KellyCasanova 4 жыл бұрын
Anne, did your loom come with a double heddle block? If not, they can be purchased and attached for the second heddle to sit in.

@@annesfeltedfriends You can buy a double heddle block kit, it's easy to attach to your loom, you just take off the single block. I leave my double block in place now and use the original single block for when I want to use a third heddle.

I have trouble going from the warp board to putting it on my rigid heddle. I have all the ties in place but it always seems to get tangled. Do you have video showing this process?

No, unfortunately I don't. I always direct warp my rigid heddle loom because I think that much quicker and faster.

Kelly: I want to weave your tote bag using acrylic yarn. Will the interfacing stand-up to repeated machine washings? (continue to stick)?
@KellyCasanova
@KellyCasanova 4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure - for two reasons. 1. I don't generally weave with acrylic and for the times that I have, I haven't used interfacing on it. 2. When I use interfacing on something like a bag, I rarely wash them. That's not very helpful, is it? 😆 Sorry!

Did you realise that if you had turned your warping frame over 180 degrees, your starting peg would have probably been where you wanted it to be? Just thought I’d say before anyone else did it. X
@KellyCasanova

True 😄 Ah well, I'm pretty happy with the extra peg positioning anyway.
