OMG thank you so much I fixed my controller for some reason everytime I clicked forward to run it would always fire my gun I believe it was the contacts in the controller that where freaking out due to stuff getting in the cracks and into the controller thank you sir you saved me 60$ the one thing I did different from you was take a aerosol can made for dust then I pointed it into the bottom half of the anolog stick motors then after that it worked perfect again I can't thank you enough for what you have showed me idk all I've got to say is that not all hero's have capes especially you.

Wow this totally worked, I took my controller apart, put it back together again, had the same problem, gave up and bought a new one. It arrives Wednesday at the latest.

Bruh! Thank you soooo much! I have been having so many problems with my controller lately. Mainly in the shoulder button area. After watching your video, and seeing how simple it was, i decided to take it apart and investigate. I didn't find any physical signs as to what the problem was. So, i decided to give it a good cleaning, and hope that worked. what i ended up doing was, i took the shoulders and triggers off, removed the little rubber bits that housed the contacts for the printed circuit , and swabbed the circuit and the contacts inside those little rubber bits. and the contacts on the circuit for all the other buttons. And holy shit it worked! Thanks so much dude! You really helped me out!

Very helpful. Thanks. Resolved my Dpad issues. I recommend adding a close up of locating the springs for R1 and R2 though as people could mislocate those potentially and ruin the springs.

for everyone talking about buttons not working mainly the dpad and x threw triangle buttons it is due to the fact that that silicone guard he pulls off from underneath the controller have cushions underneath them they allow the buttons to hit the circuit board and register the bottom those might be punched out therefore the buttons do not register you can buy a replacement on Amazon look up the silicone dpad and you should see it

If your pad wont charge and your waiting for a new battery, you can remove the dead battery and use it as a' wired' controller leaving the charging cable connected works fine, providing the cables long enough.

Great video, mate. For me, my share button and PS button are sticking. I popped the controller open, but then put it all back due to fear of making things worse. After putting the screws back in, I noticed that my PS button is no longer sticking. And I didn't even do anything to fix it. Sadly, my share button is still stuck. It won't click like it used to. So I might still do this method. I only had my PS4 for 2 months.

Nice and informative vid. I have a problem with my controller too. When I turn on my PS4 and do the usual stuff it works just fine like chatting, search and etc. Then after few hours when I pop the on-screen keyboard to type, there's the blue circe that's stuck on letter g. I would reset the controller but after few hours the same problem would occur. Any tips/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

His right analogue stick is not registering a hard-right movement (for example, on an FPS he can turn to his left quickly, but right turning is very slow). I have 2 controllers, 1 works fine (original ps4 dualshock with system) other is a Sony store bought dualshock which jumps the menu items by 2. I'm flummoxed. I had bought a brand new DUALSHOCK 4 controller off Amazon, initially to test the sixaxis function on an emulator on my Win 10. (I use Dolphin - it emulates both GC and Wii. Was having issues using the Slide Turn onto a wall in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity with the GC controller settings, so thought I could use a PS4 sixaxis feature to emulate turning the Wii remote in horizontal mode.) The controller calibrator in the settings successfully recognized the sixaxis's activity when I tested it (but this sadly didn't change my issue in Riders.. Oh well!) so I *know* it isn't the controller which is broken. However... I had just now bought Detroit: Become Human for my PS4 and I'm trapped at the part where Kara is washing the dishes, because that action requires the sixaxis function. My PS4 isn't picking anything up. I literally have not been able to find a single solution to this on the internet aside from a single Reddit post from 11 months ago which got archived *with 0 comments. * My PS4 is responding to everything else... just not the sixaxis. It just crossed my mind now though to see if the issue is coming from my computer. Hadn't considered virtually removing the device from my PC's bluetooth device list until I was in the middle of writing this... I'm going to check if doing that and resetting the controller and console will solve it right now. Update: No... No it did not.

Hey. I need help. I have a contoller and the d pad sticks to down. I switched out the rubber component on the d pad with a controller that worked. It still malfunctioned on the bad controller and worked on the good one. I installed new circuit film on the bad controller and the d pad still doesn't work properly. What to do? Thanks in advance.
