If you take the time with a wire wheel to clean that bed up some. Remove the lights, paint the bed with some black paint, that truck will be really sharper then.

I watched the whole thing, including the Halloween nights at the local car show. I am from Detroit, moved to Tennessee. I have about a dozen freinds with classic cars. In the Northeast. ( Detroit area) there is a car show every night of the week! Down here in the Mid-South, you gotta drive 45 minutes to an hour just to go to one, or it is just once a year. Man I sure do miss my home state.

Cool truck. Keep the door. Put metal or wood inside door put hook through mirror hole and apply pressure to pull out. Open door .attach hook to tree. Close door until door pops out. Keep original. You never match the paint. It's just a old truck. Look cool planed up. Good luck.

Looks good my friend, I'm surprised how clean that hood is still. Do yourself a favor and check out a KZbinr called "Rat Rod Bob" his doing a square body rat rod and he's got a video on how to strengthen the hood the proper way to keep it from bending in the middle like a taco .

Dude, I know how you love to not follow great advice, so, research how you can restore those plastic door panels with UV light and a few safe household ingredients…or don’t

@@CountryBoyGasGarage Also if you can get it really clean and chemical free a heat gun used carefully can renew the panels. Hot water and Vinegar 10:1 is a great cleaner degreaser. Those trucks are so popular you could probably find a dozen “secret” remedies from shade tree mechanics but I think the Heat gun or UV light bath would be the best for channel views. Research is free, the more you look the more you’ll find.

I was wondering if Penetrol would work on those panels. I know that is a common method for restoring black plastic bumpers and fender flares etc that have faded out to grey. That may be bad or good advice so follow at your own risk.
