I know it doesn't seem like it, but deer, both Doe and Bucks can be DEADLY dangerous. One kick can break bones, give concussion, or even crack your skull open. I knew a lady that tried to get a young Doe untangled from her fence and it kicked her SO hard it partially collapsed her lungs and cracked multiple ribs! Also when I was middle school age, I remember riding in car with my mom and a deer ran out on front of us. She stopped easily in time. But then about 6 more deer followed behind and one ran full force into the driver side rear door so hard that it cracked the window and warped the door so badly that it was jammed closed. They are NOTHING compared to a freaking Canadian moose but deer are solid muscle and have that unpredictable twitchy demeanor 😂

You could see how much Rose was struggling with her loneliness when she kept reaching out to her brother only for her feelings to be brushed aside. I think her telling her mom the story about the flood and her saying she wasn’t going to wait anymore was her refusing to give into all the outside forces that were taking everything away from her. She was going to go out and “ do something” for herself, by herself. Although she could not have known she would find her “friends” again, the fact that her self powered journey took her right back to them gives us hope! Would have been a relief to see the family reunions, but this might have interrupted Rose’s own brief reunion with her comfortable, young life. I felt like Rosie’s character symbolized nostalgia for simpler times when people were predominantly happier and actually connected to each other. Rosie is the only one who really “left the world behind” because she’s over the bullshit of modern times. She was also the only observant character who recognized major red flags like the ship coming straight at that them and nature acting weird. Everyone else was too caught up in their own worlds.

I loved the movie. I feel like there was so much open to interpretation, and I found it really creepy because living in America I feel like this could be our reality any day now. The whole country is so f*ed and our leaders are dragging us deeper into caca. The “three steps” really would throw us into chaos and make it so easy for invasion and WW3. Maybe I’m just paranoid but this film felt like a prediction of the future. Also the fact that the Obamas directed this, a lot of rhetoric symbolism is either them making fun of us for not seeing what’s happening right under our noses, or they were trying to open our eyes to what’s been going on.
@eriscxa Жыл бұрын
I feel like the daughter finding the bunker /house is symbolism for true innocence finding abundance. She trusted herself and got everything she needed.
