For me, it is you. The wonder, the glee, that spontaneous laugh. Doesn't matter where you are or what you are doing, the narration is what drives my delight with your channel. Thanks for continuing to do the work and create content. I for one love every minute of it.

Hi Renee, Dickel here....oh boy mail day! I think I'd rather have a coin of Elvis, than King Charles, hehehe...I think you need a research helper...I'll do it, just pay me a beer and bag of funyons a day. You should do a "History behind the Moose", your life story...That will put you over 100k for sure. Buzz says "hi" and says to check out his new video out today.

I have a half a dozen lapel pins featuring my favorite creature...I'm sure you can guess it!! Looking forward to your future adventures! Enjoy them, as my thrifting adventures have dried up!! No, as I know nothing about comic books...when I outgrew them, gone! One series I still like are the "Classis Illustrated" publications. One of my favorites, which I have is H.G. Wells "War of the Worlds" Told and illustrated as wells wrote and published it.

Canada Post workers walked off the job and went on strike last evening. So unless things get figured out, will be no mail for a bit. I always enjoy your content. The storage units are intresting in the reveal, like opening a parcel... Surprise! Thanks for sharing wish you all the best and hope you have a good Thanksgiving 👍👍

Awesome and very thoughtful gifts from your lovely viewers, as always.👌 I think there´s absolutely nothing wrong with storage videos as some kind of "bread and butter" clips, so you will be able to crawl into numerous rabbit holes and do your historic research. And you also got a tiny chance to find an original page of the Gutenberg Bible as well because some incomplete editions were sold to American dealers in the 1920s/ 1930s, and they decided to sell single pages in some kind of "presentation packs". Anyways, meanwhile you are so close to 100 k subscribers, and I am pretty sure that you will be able to fill the gap until the end of this year. 🤞Have a fantastic weekend, and see you on the next one ! 🖐Greets from GER, U.

Finding a lost Gutenberg in a storage unit...a made for TV movie! I'm sure that stranger things have happened. Perhaps there was a page in that $8k unit among the comic books! I would like to know how that person did with the contents of the unit, if they found any highly valued comic. Perhaps I'll hear through the storage unit grapevine later on and can update. We shall see about the 100k, I'm just happy & so appreciative to be where I am at now - all thanks to people like you! Hope that you have a great weekend as well. Any plans?

@@PaperandMoose Well, I am done with garden work for this year, so let´s continue with indoor "activities" this weekend. And I got some dentist appointments for the forthcoming weeks as well. Can you imagine that my recent package to Bloomsbury needed eight days from Hannover to Frankfurt and jumped today across the big pond ?! Nothing overwhelming inside this time, just a little "story" about childhood during wartime.

When I was as teacher anytime I had a student with a parent overseas our class would make cards to send at different times. The students really enjoyed decorating and writing them. Looking forward to exploring with you, diner reviews and local history sound fun.

I put a Toonie on the RR tracks near here after a spirited discussion with Canadian colleagues. We made a "bragging rights" bet as whether the two pieces would separate when flattened by a train. I thought they would. They did not. I think the inside piece is beveled and fits into a groove on the outside piece. I then had to endure the (polite & apologetic 😀) taunts from my northern friends for many weeks (even though I was born on Canada Day.!) The letters from 1918 will be a good read, I think. Amazing how much mail from soldiers overseas was written about mail - whether they'd received any - who they received it from - letters arriving out of order from the date they were mailed - letters fromfamiy asking them why they hadn't written, etc.. I wonder if soldiers overseas can text folks back in the US these days? I guess using a regulr phone with GPS might provide compromising information (location, etc.). Winter is nowhere to be found down here in central NC; I wish it were. I don't think we had a whole day below freezing last year. No way I would spend $8K on a locker unless it had at least $10K in cash visible. When you get to that level of storage unit, you can buy a second home down here in the warmer part of the country and have flea markets & estate sales all year. We have no Tote Man though. And not much P-burg stuff. Lots of paper, though. Thanks for the video & the update - and have a great weekend!
@PaperandMoose14 сағат бұрын
$10K in cash visible! Haha :0) There was a unit that had gotten pulled prior to the auction that showed a $50 bill and a $5 bill in a box. Funny how the storage facility knew to look in that box to photograph the money...not suspicious at all! My cousins and I were always told to never put anything on the railroad tracks, no pennies allowed! We would walk the tracks and pick up old railroad ties and any other things that 8-year-olds found interesting. The good old days! I'll have to ask my cousin about the texting. When he served in Iraq, I know that my aunt would occasionally receive a phone call, but at random times and never planned. We would "talk" back and forth on Instant Messenger when he was on base in the States, but that stopped when he went overseas. I remember my aunt sent him a package for one of the holidays, filled with lots of candy and treats for him to share with the other guys. It arrived months later, chocolate all melted, but the guys still enjoyed it!
