Seems like turning down the ransom, which is quite dishonorable, was a pretty bad decision as they died very shortly after the offer. You could have had many thousands of extra gold to build your forces up with to strike back, and they would have had shorter coffers themselves.

Trebuchets can use a counterweight to launch a 90kg projectile over 300m. Ofc they're the superiour siege unit. ty for acknowledging.

They were the best until the advent of mortars and cannons. however they were notoriously difficult to transport. You needed great skilled engineers to make one, assemble it and disassemble it.

I think the narrator is the same guy as in The Guild 2, but I can't find out who did the narration for that (the manual doesn't have voice credits). It definitely wasn't Kevin Michael Richardson, the narrator from Baldur's Gate. The manual for this game lists actors without saying who did what, and from that list I suppose Tim Bentick is the strongest possibility for narrator. I don't really think that's the guy, though. There's also John Bull and Peter Marinker, who do a fair bit of game voices, but they don't really fit either.

What do I do if I have negative cash flow? Just hire a merchant? Is there something else because what if I don't have enough cash on hand to hire a knight?
