ooh, that's it. We're all a part of the Amalgam now. It's decided.

15:36 - yes and no. People call it Big Ben, but Big Ben is just the name of one of the bells. The tower itself is the Queen Elizabeth Tower.

uhm, actually it's Big Ben's Monster (thanks for the clarification)

What a incredibly charming game. I would be very interested to see if the developer(s) make another game in the future.

I know you don't get a lot of viewership on these videos, but this series was really special to me. It came with me to visit my uncle, who lives across the country, diagnosed with cancer and a year to live. Gave me a nice break in a tough time, so thank you for that, yeen.

Hehehe yesh Bree and Stilton were roommates after all 😁 That final Credits song was my favourite 😊 What a grand finale Here’s hoping the next game the creators make is just as wonderful 😌

8:17 - probably should’ve asked this a dozen episodes ago, but who wants to break it to Verm that there’re multiple Yellow Gods and it’s highly unlikely that this Yellow God is the same one that killed his brother?

This game is very special. I love that the whole party is queer, and they're nerodivergent coded very well. Verm being implied to have synesthesia is really fun too. There's so much representation in here.

Its a minor thing, but I love the symmetry of first encountering the Yellow God in Heaven, then defeating him in Hell.

LOL at the title of the video. Yeah I imagine this random exterminator is not having a great day.

A surprisingly charming game, thanks for doing this playthrough Keith! In the previous episode I saw some comments about the alternative Leo fight outcome, it's quite cool when games have secrets like that.

you are exactly correct how thematically relevant it is, to both the game and to real life. The messaging in this game was so good. Like a lot of reviews complained about the over the top dialogue from the fascists in the tower, but it was far far better written. If you get a chance, you may want to also check out the optional scene in the very bottom of the prison in the last act. That also is very thematically relevant to the games messaging.

49:06 On one side, I guess not forcing to player to grind is good, but that makes the game too linear. Not having grinding means you have to be extremely careful about balancing encounters (if an encounter is too hard, you can't get stronger to make up for it), which probably explains why the game might have felt too easy (they erred on the side of caution). I feel a non-linear game that also has no griding is one that basically doesn't have a progression system, or at least not a progression system that doesn't depend on how many fights/encounters you've won (so experience points are not conducive to that). Alternatively, I guess you could just make the game balance itself automatically (making enemies be at the same level as you or something), but that feels trickier to implement.

17:40 nah, he deserved that. Leo only changed the problems of the moles, he didn't solve them. And didn't even have the thought to check in on them after the job was supposedly done. He rode fame and basked in his vanity. And twice after when he had the opportunity to fully go for something better, he veers off course to do his own thing, killing the king and babysitting the throne for himself, and attacking Verm because Verm would have been a competitor for his fame. Leo was a vain colonist and failed every opportunity he had to change.
@TheFoxYoukai9 ай бұрын
I feel like you completely missed Leo's character lol There is nothing that shows he once ever cared about his fame or saw Verm as threat to it. He saw Verm as a threat to the rodents way of life (don't piss off the gods cuz they will destroy us). Which is likely exactly what would of happened if the bomb hadn't exploded a national landmark and completely distracted the humans from the extermination. He trusts Verm more if you don't kill him in the duel having to put his faith in someone else for a change. His only flaw was he unable to see how Verm's plan could end in any way but bad, which all logic and sense dictates that should be the case.
@leeverguy9 ай бұрын
@@TheFoxYoukai I like that Leo's actually 100% justified in being afraid of the gods. If the gods hated me and built entire lifetimes (which sometimes extend more than fifty times your own) around destroying me and my kind I'd sure as hell not want to mess with their business.
