Originaly in an earlier version, Flying Battery Zone was going to take place in between Carnival Night and Icecap Zone, at the end of FB, sonic would kick down a door and snowboard down Icecap.

I really like this zone. The music is cool and I like the snow/winter theme. It's also really easy and quick for me to get through for a late-game-level. Sonic snowboarding is so awesome!

Actually, jumping in the snowboarding section can let you skip the side paths; skipping a certain one lets you get enough rings to go Super on the board. Do it with Hyper Sonic (by starting on a completed file), you can then go back up the mountain.

If you have all Chaos Emeralds, and if you have 50+ rings, press one of the jump buttons twice really fast. Just make sure you keep collecting rings cause if you reach zero, he turns back into regular Sonic.

When I first played this game I thought Sonic's entrance on the snowboard was... unexpected, 2nd playthrough I thought it was cool, after that I just saw it as Sega trying to make him look badass and cool, not that that's necessarily a bad thing.

the invincible theme really is a pain. but notice the fast piano sparkling part actually has a 2 bar phrase that plays over the 1 bar main melody, so i just listen to that to maintain slightly higher sanity

Knuckles is a little bit of both, actually. Although I think he's more of a hero than a villain--unlike Shadow--Knuckles and Sonic are both friends AND rivals with one another.

Ice Cap has good music but it isn't my favorite in Sonic 3. I actually like Hydrocity, Marble Garden, and Angel Island better. Best in the entire series is Mystic Cave, hands down.

Once you have all the emeralds you just collect 50 rings and press the jump button twice. While you Super Sonic you will lose 1 ring every second.
