As we besiege Musashi we get help unexpectedly from the Satomi, they didn't do much in reality but it was the thought that counts. After that we do attack them though.

Before you ended your turn you could've taken Kazusa while the Satomi Armies were in Shimosa and that would have rendered them useless.

Probably know by now but monastery + gunsmith for matchlock monks, think it requires shinto religion since they're monks after all. It might've just not shown them as unlocked by those buildings because it requires both buildings which is a bit awkward UI stuff. Seems like the mangonels might be useful for beach landings/transport by ship to make use of transport's movement? Your hopes were realized, I do enjoy. :P

Matchlock monks can only be made by the Ikko Ikki, I'm fairly sure.

This is probably a stupid question... but I’ve heard u mention yari wall quite often but I literally don’t get it. How do you do yari wall? Haha I know I feel stupid!

It's an ability Yari Ashigaru have, it makes their formation more dense and makes them point their spears forward. You'll see the icon next to guard mode, skirmish, withdraw, etc.

why don't you upgrade the gold mine first?

Because it's very expensive, and it's great to have a gold mine, but if you've got no men to defend it, you might as well not have it.

In legendary you need to spend all your money on troops or upgrades that get you better troops in order to have a relevant force. You need to capture several towns right away to have a relevant economy and generally you capture the buildings you need to build units instead of buying them.

props for not cheesing the system by selling a ton of military access early. i dont get why some people go legendary difficulty but then just abuse the system, and the AI in some battles/some situations. lol.

***** Yeah fair enough, especially because you can at first and/or may not be the most proficient at the game just yet, but its still pretty huge (imo) deciding to not do it anymore. (or at least not this time) I was just watching another youtuber on legendary and he was doing military alliance straight out for like 2k - 4k each (takeda?) and the principals of it or not it ended up going for like 10min straight, cheesing in the diplomacy screen so i left a comment and quit the video. So now its time for a decent, proper, legendary run :D

Ah, Legend's considered one of the best Total War singleplayer players on KZbin, but he does use exploits a lot, it's what he's famous for.
