Really enjoyed the run through video. Explained a lot of the rules I missed. I will be playing this game over the weekend. I am stoke about new starter sets and more models that are being designed. A couple of years ago there weren't too many Videos on how to play this game. This year, Wrath of Kings has just BLOWN up!! I am really glad that this is not a dead end game anymore. More Wrath of Kings is coming - and I am here for the ride.

Good to see more WoK stuff out there! Just convinced a couple of buddies to play too! Some rules notes though: 1. Models assisting don't count as being part of the attack and so those Skorza wouldn't have gotten to sprint. This is noted in the errata. 2. That Ashman the Alpha murderized should have gotten to strike back with Act with Certainty since only the Alpha was engaged with the Ashman and no Overpower was rolled. The other two Skorza were assisting and therefore not part of the actual attack (unlike Combined Attack). 3. Scourge Hound's Follow Me is triggered by her performing an action. So you'd actually have to do Sprint or Bounding Flourish first and then make your maneuver. Not that it mattered in the case of the Shield Breaker. 4. Hakar doesn't get Act with Certainty because the Overpower negates it. Looks like it was just flip-flopped there. 5. Dropping to zero doesn't immediately end the game. It actually continues till the end of the round so he should have gotten one more activation. But unless he got extremely lucky and rolled two Overpowers with the Rathor's bounce to kill both Skorzas to drop you to -1, it was a moot point. :)

Came across the Guerrilla Miniatures Games channel a few weeks ago now and enjoy it. Bummer we are in Australia which makes it hard to get to the bigger US events. It was great to see some Wrath of Kings love. :)

I'm glad you made this. I got a Wrath of Kings starter and hardcover rulebook in my NOVA bag, and the minis are good enough that I was considering starting to play it.

I got into it after getting a free starter at NOVA. Did the demo game and loved the simplicity (doubly so because I was super hung over). You should give it a shot!

Love me some Wrath of Kings, glad to hear more are on the way! Are we going to get to see all the different factions on this chanel? The game ends at the end of the turn when morale is compared so, in a close game, you always have some chance to even the score when it seems hope is lost. It is possible to get someone into negative morale with killings and mission objectives, but that's just overkill.

Fun story Ash - Miniature Market is selling Wrath of Kings for stupid cheap. I just bought all sort of stuff for my DnD game. But there’re also selling the book for $10 so I picked that up too. And, ah ... well, this looks super cool so I’m going to play a game and see how that goes ...

There were some Resin version that went out with the Kickstarter but these are all the current Plastic/Resin kits. :)

The Zeti Dancers arms are not very friendly to assemble for older eyes like mine, my 2 Leaders are in my " I'll get to it" list

Maybe, but their stock is very limited. I placed an order for this starter box in February and they've not been able to source a copy yet and normally they're very good about their stock.

I like the Goritsi, Nasier and Hadross, love me some badass fishmen. Considered just cancelling the starter order and building from the normal troop boxes but those are patchily stocked too :( One of GMGs other vids though was of a CMON Q&A panel and they said a new European distributor had been found so hopefully more stock in a few months...

Are the models all plastic? Resin? Or metal?

They are hard plastic. To my knowledge, Nasier are the hardest ones to put together. Please remember that this is a kit - meaning you put the models together and customize your bases the way you want. I use cork board and kitty litter to customize my bases. They come out super cool after there painted.

Steve Lille This is just the demo. It's half the smallest game size. As mode count directly relates to Morale, you'll see a much fuller game in two weeks when the first Patrol airs. :)

Danny Yit I had the same problem when it hit kickstarter. I really like the idea that the regular troop models aren't just boring and kind of useless like most minis games suffer from and the leader and specialists have some really cool rules. The minis didn't really hook me and some of the minis for the faction that I like (Teknes) still don't click either me and look really out of place for me. (the sraags look cool but why do the Galvanic order guys look like escapees from munchkin land? Are they Dwarves? WTF is up with the midgets in this faction? Love the steampunk elements though. ) Hadross looks pretty cool though. I really like the underwater Sea creature thing that they have going on. I'm considering giving the game a try as there are guys playing it at my FLGS.

Exactly! There isn't much of a consistency to the themes of the army. I like the theme of the Tekness, but where did the Zalaak come from? An sea creature when it looks like pigs and creepiness reign supreme in the faction? Individually some of them are great, but as a whole, not so much. My FLGS only has two people playing it right now and it's only to give themselves a break from Infinity haha. I always told myself i won't play anything unless it's GW or PP only because it's just a waste of money because nothing else has a consistent group. I am becoming very cautious now, lessons learned haha.
