Launching into a brand new Bethesda world we find ourselves following the tale of Wyatt Wilkes. A one time bounty hunter that has found himself in the middle of a discovery that could change the course of human history. This won't be a traditional Let's Play of Starfield, this play through will be following the life of Wyatt & I will be playing the game in character. This means internal dialogue, character development, decisions made by the character, not the player & all the good and grand things that come from playing the game this way.

So wyatt had some sort of memory alteration done on his parents, im guessing so he could hide them easier. Thats a brilliant twist, not only does it explain away any incroguities between wyatts back story and what the parents are saying, but it also adds an extra layer of drama and tragedy to the whole affair.

I was not expecting Wyatt's parents to have Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. Kinda guessing that's because the process they went through was a back-alley clinic job rather than a 'formal' one with good facilities and equipment. Not exactly the kind of thing that you can get a refund on, though at least his parents remember him. Very well (and horrifyingly) done, sir.

I am enjoying how you are portraying this game so far. the little bits of editing that go in simple things like being able to walk and talk with your follower or hiding immersive braking inventory menu's and such. it's a nice touch and keeps the story flowing but must take HOURS to edit these videos lol. still, keep up the good work.👍

The terrible "stop-start-catch up" following behavior of companions is going to be hell on role-players. But you handled it very well. Rule number 1: never look back. Let the viewer believe the companion is right there behind you. My friend made a popular companion mod for Morrowind circa 2003 using that ancient version of Bethesda's engine. Followers stopped when the player stopped, walked when the player walked and ran when the player ran, always remaining close. Of course Skyrim and Fallout 4 had native companions whose follower packages were likewise accurate. But now, 2023, Bethesda's newest, shiniest engine can't get followers right. And it's more than just an annoyance. Their propensity to hang back as far and as long as they do can get you killed when you're trying to avoid powerful native wildlife. By that I mean they can get you into fights you don't want to be in. So mark this down as issue number 423 that the modders will be responsible for fixing---and counting.

Fantastically good! Wyatt reminds me of Mark Shephard's Romo Lampkin character in Battlestar Galactica. Similar voice and speech rhythms. Space weary and wise as a serpent.

That sounds cool, your other Skyrim series were excellent so I would suspect that a new one would also be great. I would also like to make a personal suggestion, a new XCOM 2 series. I was personally attracted to your channel due to your original XCOM 2 series but it is no longer available, whether it was deleted or just delisted I don't know but with a large modding community in its own right and a complete dlc package, I would love to see what a man of your narrative talent could do with it.

Oh no. With what I know now, this could be a spoiler, but it involves your parents and particular backstory, and I'm incredibly interested in seeing how you resolve it. Proper spoilers below. With the description I gave above, you should know when you've hit it ingame: The parents' trip to Neon, with them not even being aware of the trouble that happened and why they shouldn't go. I can only imagine how Wyatt will freak out about them being there after all the effort that went in to their safety in New Atlantis. Maybe you'll make it out to have been a trap of some kind somehow, integrate it in to working with some people in Neon that you probably shouldn't?

the permadeath runs in other bethesda games were only made possible by the mods out for those, like frost for fallout 4 or live another life for skyrim, as well as survival mods/features that up the ante. starfield has none of this yet.

Wyatt's Tale continues, with his arrival in New Atlantis and the beginning of his first mission with Constellation. What exactly happened to his parents that necessitated a memory wipe, we don't yet know (it could have something to do with the bounty on his head!), but it's better not to pry. That is one heck of a cliffhanger, leaving off at the entrance of Nova Galactic - will Wyatt and Sarah find their mark on the station? I guess we'll find out next time. As always, great work, Rycon!

Are you planning on doing any role play series for baldurs gate 3 I feel like if you wanted you could honestly get a few role play series out of that game with how many different characters you could make in it with all the races and classes plus a dark urge one would be awesome so many things you could do with that game I feel like it would be a perfect for role plays
