I had a problem with dog spots in my yard. My dog will go out & sniff out a place where he has relieved himself & he will tend to use the same spots. I broadcast some Gypsum over the yard & the dead spots healed. The areas along my driveway/walkway that were damaged from salt damage also healed & grew in.

Excellent Info. I aerated, dethatched, and brought in some soil to level out some areas, and over seeded (late) last fall. Now wondering if all the seed survived, or if I need to cast in more (started to sprout before temps dropped last year) once temps come up soon (western WA state). I wait.

Amazing to see you back. Cant wait for 2021 season. Any tips for borders/sidewalk/stepping stones. I have recetly changed to a reel mower and I cant really figure out how high the soil should sit next to the sidewalk/stepping stones to get it to Roll “smoothly” along it when doing the borders.

Good format. If you do Q&A again... Question: I have 3 mature trees that are about 15 years old in my front yard, which they're slightly taller than your front yard tree. Should I factor these trees into my fertilizer rates and strategies through the seasons with TTTF in the transition zone? I'm tempted to remove the middle tree since it's hard to keep the grass thick in the middle of my front yard until I overseed in the fall.

Here in Maryland we have some beautiful weather after today. Mid 50's for a while but the beginning of March is a huge wildcard. We could get a foot of snow, or gradually increase in temps until April. Only time will tell!

I like it fellas! As far as what I’d like to see or hear about in the future is stronger fungicides than your traditional big box store ones. I have TTTF in Nj and had BP bad this year. I am looking into fungicides similar to what Pete from GCI turf uses. That would be a great topic. Good luck with your channel and projects in 2021!
@fieldsource91463 жыл бұрын
Definitely a worthy subject! The ceiling for granular fungicide performance is typically well below the expectations of "more than your average" lawn enthusiast. That said, spraying fungicides is a commitment in terms of time and money to do it properly and safely. We'll find a way to weave in some more conversations about this in future videos and podcasts. Thanks for watching!

woohooo....double digits in the positive for a change, then likely suddenly right up to 100°F before you know it ....I'm not going to make a plan dependent on a long mild spring this year, but one that will still work if it is nice for awhile

I'm going to be overwhelmed this lawn season.. moved into a house with a bad case of ugly patchy clumping fescue. Going to have an irrigation system installed, redoing the lawn with kbg, and lots of landscaping. I'm also thinking about possibly getting into reel mowing if I find a good electric one, but I'm also wanting the Ego 0 turn mower so we will see :) Hopefully by late fall or spring of 2022 I'll be dominating the neighborhood and have a good lawn to enjoy mowing again!

Hey Ryan, thank You for that video, was in the exact moment, on the first day, that in mid Europe the snow melted, and I can see my lawn, and I was wondering when can the season "officialy" start :) with that out of the way, hope my goal, will be possible, c'ouse I plan to be more on the "Lawn side" of my garden, since the last years I was focusing on the other half, that was the "forest side" , but after planting arround 700 trees, I decided I can leave them with a lil less atention, but not the grass, especcialy when a good green carpet in front of the house is also a "must have" subject for me. Always enjoying the adventures You bring, and hope that mine will be also worth telling some day, atleast to my son,. Any way, have a good start in to the Lawn season and take care.

Great video and good content. I have a part of my backyard that gets full shade during the summer. I have been struggling to get this section to develop thick grass. Thanks for the podcast! I have a question for the next podcast. I bought but forgot to apply my high N fertilizer which was to be my winterizer. Can I still apply it as soon as the snow melts without harming my grass? My lawn is a PRG/KGB mix in Northern Illinois.
