5 Star Method: An Educational Course Designed to Deliver Results.
Meet the Common Alpha Hydroxy Acids in skincare. AHA's used daily are wonderful for shrinking pores, tightening and toning skin, lessening the depth of wrinkles, helping with scarring and so much more.
What affects AHAs efficacy (their effectiveness and ability to produce results)? AHAs are usually available in three forms:
Creams (great for daily use)
Gels (treatment serum)
Aqueous (liquid - for professional treatments and peels)
There are 5 major factors that affect AHAs efficacy:
Skin Acidity (pH level)
Type of AHA used
Delivery Method (formula)
AHA Concentration
Skin Retention

Thanks for the video! I guess I’m a little confused... I thought AHA’s have exfoliating properties so how are we able to use them daily and not just 2-3 times a week?
@NeridaJoySkincare

ahas are in serum and cream that you can use daily. they offer more then exfoliation, they stimulate the fibroblast cells to tighten and keep the skin healthy and pretty :))

Hi Nerida, how can you tell if your skin prefers retinols to AHAs and vice versa? What are the signs to look for? I'm a Latina with skin on the fairer side. I'm oily/combo but I have eczema as well. I generally seem to experience more irritation from retinols than AHAs, but I;m worried about losing anti-aging benefits of retinols. Any advice? I use both in my routine.

you have to use what works best for your skin.with eczema its tricky.... but you can always layer other healing products on first. Trial and error:)) watch my other videos to learn more... see if you can relate to one of the other models i have worked on:)

Hi Nerida, Could you please let us know if there are any skin care ingredients we use on our face that we should absolutely NOT be using on our chest and on our neck since the skin on those two areas is thinner?? I am especially interested to know if we can use AHA, Vitamin C and Retinol on your neck and our chest? Is there anything special I can do to smooth chest wrinkles? Thank you very much in advance. I look forward to hearing from you :)
