NOT completely separate. I was there as an intern for three months this year. He was in the Global Prayer Room most days, 6:00am-6:00pm. He taught the IHOP community on Friday nights most weeks (these are mandatory services for those involved in the prayer ministry and who can’t always attend Sunday mornings-they shut down the Global Prayer Room to the public in order to facilitate attendance to those services). Not on the “payroll” perhaps, not holding an executive title, maybe, but he is the driving force of the prayer movement, the university, and the church. The whole place overflows with his books and teachings. “Completely separate” is dishonest.

Thank you for breaking this down…really well done. FYI, Mike Bickle is the founder of IHOPKC. This is an international ministry and Mike is internationally known minister. The third party they hired has had a least three cases where they have gotten the church off the hook from sexual abuse…why would a victim want to talk with them?
@DebraCossu
@DebraCossu 8 ай бұрын
Internal and independent are very different. No independent third party has been chosen. I came in 2002 and this month turned in my resignation. If you read the emails from MB he has been exceedingly involved in base! Many in staff came like I did because we love Jesus. Many are staying in staff because leadership has strongly suggested we stay off media because they will keep us informed…..this coverup and delay is dishonoring the Name of Jesus because they are trying to protect he name of the ministry! These words are simply my own testimony as a Grief Chaplain still gathering up the broken pieces of my heart. PLUS the husband came forth in his wife’s defense privately before all this was made public. The ones helping this woman and the others who have “allegations” now also public knowledge use to be in leadership and also being shamed and dishonored them. Hint: the current leadership all know what is being presented is the truth. This new “independent 3rd party” defends ministries and ministers charged with abuse…they brag on winning against victims so why would any victim trust them!

Every time one of these large scandals comes about it's meant to show people the many things that are going wrong in the church, but because people can say they couldn't possibly have known about the extremes, that they're innocent. But Christianity is about discerning much more than "extreme" sins. The point is this man was in your midst for YEARS and you never once discerned anything to do with his heart. God clearly was not approving of him and yet you did. It's a wake up call to how sinful we have been in being satisfied with our ways and God is showing how fruitless and sinful they are.

I HAVE a bone to pick about the “Christian Way” that people talk about. We act like it’s un-Christ-like to hire attorneys but Jesus mentioned in parables about the women who couldn’t get justice, going before a judge and pestering that judge until he finally gave her justice…so it seems in Jesus’ time they had a legal system. Obviously. And God is. Righteous judge as we know with this all playing out now. Why do we act like there’s something wrong if we need to hire attorneys to move through a complicated legal process or two help protect us when we go through some thing especially like this? Obviously, I think I’m stating what you would agree with Dean but it is amazing to me how Bickle called for a Matthew 18 process which to clarify, actually talks about offenses , not about abuse such as this. My point being as there’s a lot of legal issues that come to light especially to protect victims of abuse, and it makes me sick when Christians go. “Oh, they shouldn’t be hiring attorneys” but victims need to because the people with the power and the money would probably sue the victims butts off, and have in past history, all the time, done exactly that, to silence the victims. Thanks for this video by the way!

I love Bickle’s concession… I mean, confession. “I did something to someone, some time ago. For that I’m sorry” 😆. It stands to reason that MB did not apologize to the victim. His private email to Jane Doe’s husband clearly states that if they went public with this, it would be the greatest betrayal of his life. She’s a betrayer to him, not a victim. Just like JMac probably feels about Eileen Gray and Wendy Guay.

You know, you just may be right. 👍 Now, about David and Bathsheba, why was David the one who was punished, and not Bathsheba (2 Samuel 12:7-10)? Surely she was complicit, right? Also, isn't it interesting that the Bible makes it a point of calling her, not by her name like the other women in Jesus' genealogy, but intentionally as URIAH'S WIFE (Matthew 1:6). Why even include her? And why specifically include Uriah's name? A 42 year old, married, nationally/world renowned Christian leader and a 19 year old girl whose parents were friends of the Bickles. Her parents sent this girl to his ministry trusting the integrity of this man. Just like those old ladies who are consensual participants in divesting themselves of large sums of money to scamming dirtbags, scratch that, customer service organizations. Leaders are still humans and I am 100% sure the Lord forgave him and yes, consequenses remain but talk bad about a leader or put OUR faith in a human is a sin. Everytime I see people trying to bring a leader down because of a mistake from the past, and even worse an entire ministry because the sin of 1 leader I really feel the fear for the Lord.....Watch out what comes out of your mouth and what you are thinking and keeping in your heart because we all will be accountable for that.

You put forth a ridiculous proposition, that talking about someone who has committed adultery, seduced, minors, and preached under false pretenses for over 20 years is worse than actually committing these crimes. Do you see that you are a deep Kool-Aid drinker? Clearly, the crimes are outrageous, and in order to investigate them, we must speak about it. If you do not speak about it, you will be guilty before the living God. He has left very strict commands about what is to be done with sexual sin and you may think it’s not so much, but God disagrees with you. I agree with him. If you are not a Christian, then move along. But clearly you are an ignorant person concerning sexual sin in the Bible. In the case of an unrepentant sinner like Mike, the Bible says turn him over to Satan so that his body will be tormented, but his soul saved. It never says don’t worry about i,t if it’s in the past it’s not so much. You make a perversion of the faith of Jesus Christ. Repent.

@lalabarboza8246 Mike used supposed prophetic dreams to manipulate and deceive a 19 year old woman into sexual compromise. He was 42 or 43 at the time and married. Prophesying that his wife would die and he would then marry the young woman. Sick, twisted spiritual abuse by a spiritual leader entrustedto care for the sheep, not defile them. This continued for years. Your dismissive and minimizing attitude is concerning. Jeremiah 23:1 “Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of My pasture!” declares the Lord

Since you did not state it, perhaps you are unaware that Mike Bickle was the founder of IHOP and its leader for over 20 years - it is his visions, prophecies, dreams, and teachings that the organization is built on. When you have men and women falsely prophesy with no accountabilty, teaching that if you drop some cash into a bucket will RELEASE an anointing, fail to disciple sexual predator's like Boob Jones this is what you get. These men and women are to be marked and avoided.

IHOP-KC and Forerunner Church are very much NOT Word of Faith, just to clarify. They are vehemently opposed to even the phrase, maybe have general ideas about Word of Faith, that others from the outside of this ministry would also have, without understanding the depth and breadth of speaking the Word of God into your life. it's not about money and getting stuff. but abuses are out there for sure. Just to be clear, though, that Mike and the ministry of IHOP-KC are not promoting or are associated in any way with the Word of Faith teaching or ideology.

Speaking the Word of God into my life. I love hearing God speak. It's called scripture. Objective truth, not some very subjective opinions. The NAR has been raised with very similar heresies that the WOF has been promoting since Azuza Street. False doctine on tongues, it's not a personal prayer language, never was in the early church, never is now. False prophecies GALORE, and if you confront it you are charged with Touching GOD"S anointed.

Mike has never been the pastor of Forerunner Church. He was the pastor of Metro Christian Fellowship, prior to turning it into IHOP, later known as IHOP-KC. The church was pastored by other men over the years, but, I believe Mike was the main teacher, until the last several years. Mike is seen as an apostle, primarily. Some have said he is a prophet, so that opens them up to being able to call him a false prophet. He is not a prophet. He does not operate in the office of prophet, and, like many full-gospel-type Christians, will, on occasion, prophecy, I'm sure, but this is not the same thing at all. Mike preferred to be called the Director of IHOP. He did not allow for other groups in other cities to "Join" IHOP, and individuals could not "Join," either. It's a fellowship, basically. It functioned as a conference ministry, mostly, with a local church, just for continuity, but did not function the same way other local churches do, for the people in their area. What became known as Forerunner Church, was eventually turned over to Isaac Bennett as pastor, and has been functioning as an actual church. The IHOP-KC Missions Base is comprised, mostly of people who have come from other cities, states and countries, to participate in the 24/7 prayer ministry, mostly for the preparation of the coming of the bridegroom, but, as every other set is for intercession, many topics are prayed over, e.g. local high schools, racism, the African-American community, the Nation, the Government, etc. When Mike resigned a few years ago, he had no title after that, but has been brough in on an honorarium to teach at times. About me: I was from Kansas City, now living in the glorious Ozarks of Arkansas. I decided to go to IHOP as a church in 2012 because it worked out for me at that time to drive across town, and I wanted to be around the atmosphere of 24/7 prayer. I was intrigued by the Passion for Jesus concept, and wanted to read the book (still haven't, tho, my bad). I didn't spend as much time in the prayer room as I had thought I would, and never made a "sacred trust" to do so like the countless that come there from elsewhere. I attended the church, Friday nights, Sunday mornings, but not consistently. Friday nights went too late and my husband couldn't stay awake and we didn't want to leave halfway through. The biggest impact we had was by the home group which we attended for 10 years. Those people are amazing. Loving, accepting, patient, teaching, a heart for prayer, longsuffering. I do not regret being a part of this ministry, because of the home group. I'm also glad that I now understand the ministry at IHOP-KC. I miss the leaders who have left over the years, such as the "Advocate Team" and several others. 2011-2012 there was a glorious revival/renewal, whatever you want to call it, and we got to participate. I just wanted to let you know Mike was not "Pastor." :)

More of us - Reformed or not - should, at very least be speaking into situations like this. Good on u for calling out the lie that is christian org marketing.

This isn't a judgment, just a question: why do you have all those skulls?

I appreciate the way you asked, I like how God designed skulls to look cool.

You are right about mega church pastors but Mike Bickle is not a Pastor

I believe Mike was in love with her and was heartbroken / that affects you. I mean a grown man weeping and sobbing at her wedding is not just a sexual thing ? Just a thought

How did you hear that he sobbed at her wedding??? - Somehow I missed that!?!?

He was too upset to go to the wedding of Tammy, who he started sexually abusing at age 14. Maybe he was "in love" with her too! Cult leaders gonna Cult lead. You are defending a child molester, false "hey my wife is gonna die - wanna replace her?? SHHHH!" Prophet, Teacher, Apostatele, DIErector, etc... Just gross lady.🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮

IHOPKC is an international parachurch organization, a prayer as a worship ministry. The local church arm was more of an afterthought, born out of need, than a true local church.

I urge anyone who reads this to please watch is it time to run from Carter Conlon a prophetic word given in 2001 that is more relevant today. Jeremiah chapter 23vs 9-40 Corinthians chapter 11vs 13-15 Matthew chapter 7vs 21-23

Greetings in the name of "Christ" everyone? That is how he starts his speech. Name in Hebrew is shem and it also means character. So he is greeting us in the character of God, but he acts clever like a fox and not Christ like? How strange is that !!!
