Thank you so much for helping us. . You motivated me so much with your linen closet declutter that I went upstairs and cleaned up my Christmas wrapping items. You said something about not being perfect and anything you do is a plus. That ' s all it took. Thanks again !! You are fabulous !! Please keep them coming!!

Hi. I found you through The Minimal Mom and I have your second e-book. I'm working my way through your videos :~) I wanted to tell you that your story about your mother's clutter threshold being higher than yours really rang true. I've been working on this process for a long time and one of the issues I have is that my super-organized mom has never understood why I couldn't just get and stay organized. It wasn't until I became a minimalist that I got my life under control...and now she tells me I live like a hermit. It's very helpful to hear your story and know that it's not just me. Thank you!

Thank you so much!!!! I love you! I love your honesty! I love the way your mind works(I’m also ADD). Your process really works! I tried the Pull everything out touch it fell it, love it, does it spark joy? Which is what I tend to do anyway as far as pulling everything out from spaces you can’t see and deal with everything at once!! By the time I pull everything out I am overwhelmed then I freeze and don’t know what to do anymore so I’ve been not looking at the mess I made(even though my intentions were to make it better!) for over a year now! Thanks to you I am now making progress and every time I make progress I am more motivated to continue!!!! Thank you!

I finished listening to your audio book yesterday and yearned for more "Nony Wisdom" so here I am. . . but I will have to say, I love how precise and simple your book was. watching this live video ( i realize was from 2014) has the same things (just about) as your book but your book explains it all so much better. but isn't that how it always is? with books... we can edit our words and say exactly what we mean and live videos are not as perfect... anyway... kudos to accomplishing such an awesome tool to help people like me! and thank you. you are seriously my slob twin!!!

Love you! You definitely make me feel not alone ...which I haven't felt in the longest time. I am ADHD and OCD, and single mom that of 2 teenagers one with ADHD ,and have gone from a big house to a smaller and smaller living space. My living room is my bedroom, laundry room, dining room and storage room all in one. I live for the day that my life becomes serene,,and can decorate again.Lol! I am watching you today for motivation and finally figured out jobs to delegate to my daughter,, of course to earn money. 😀

I decluttered my linen closet. Guess what! Ths linen closet looks great...but, my living room is now a bigger wreck!!! All the sheets that I have to sort out! I should have done your "take it NOW to where it belongs" approach. 😫

Do you ever think clutter is our coping strategy for something? Think about it, I grew up where I had very little, so maybe gathering fills a need. I also have a poor short term memory, I'm a visual person, if I see a bill, I pay the bill. If things are put away I forget I have to do things. If I put the choc chips away Ill forget I had to make the cookies. Also I hate waste so I keep stuff...Like you said your mom recycles ,stores it and uses it. I will use it too but ' I have to see it' to use it. Clothes that cost a lot of money, I can't bear to part with, I figure I could remake it into something but I haven't done it yet.

My husband is the army. We have done 2 moves so far one to the other sode of the world. We went 3 months without our houshold goods. I missed my stuff so much. My best advice it to pack only what you will be excited to see or has utility in your home. So when your stuff arrives you like yes! And dont mind putting it away. You never know what kind of storage space you'll have in your new home so less is more.

I discovered you about a year ago. I bought one of your books and ever read some of it before it got mysteriously moved to an unknown location during one if my "OMG, I need to hide all this $#!+ in 15 minutes" moments (I know you understand). Anyway, I've been going through some of your videos in the past few days and it feels SO good to know there are others out there like me! I totally resonated with the idea of "clutter threshold" and realized mine is super-high. I also have NO problem falling asleep with a full sink full of dishes and clutter all around. It does not affect me. I don't "see" it, until the "threat" of someone else coming over. I look forward to learning more. I just took yet another "before" picture...now I want to see the "after" picture. I'm not sure if you'll see this comment because the video is a few years old, so I may repost it. Basically, I want to say a HUGE "Thank You" for putting yourself out there to help your fellow creative and resourceful slob!!

Working for three hours... Scrubbing sink and stuff left there already washed, got dirty again from non removal, cluttered up area, no energy to clean for months... Ugh!! Now finally, making some headway... But oh my... 🥶 Still a huge pile of clean dishes to put away... And more clutter in front of where I need to cook and work at stove. 😳 Yikes!! Still cleaning 🧹... But I hafta rest a few minutes between bouts... 🤕

What do you do with the things you remove? I've got to have help. I've bought both of your books. I've got to do this. Have to. My husband thinks it's all me. Everything in the house is NOT mine, but a lot of it is. GOD help me.

do you have any tips for a full time student/nurse/mom to be able to manage decluttering working 40 plus hours, 12 credit hours, being a mom while the hubby works 3-11? I am feeing overwhelmed by my schedule and really want to get my house in order. Any tips would be appreciated thanks!
@DanaKWhite10 жыл бұрын
Oh Angie, I know that's soooo hard. You barely have time to breathe! My main encouragement would be to focus on the very most basics (like in my e-book 28 Days to Hope for Your Home), and sometimes that frees up small amounts of time that you can use to declutter. Also, it's amazing what you can get done in just a few minutes here and there.

TO MANAGE CLUTTER YOU HAVE TO GET RID OF CLUTTER. YOU CANNOT ORGANIZE CLUTTER!!! iF YOU KEEP ''DE-CLUTTERING'' YOUR ROOM, AND YOUR ROOM KEEPS GETTING CLUTTERED... MAYBE IT'S TIME TO RE EVALUATE YOUR METHOD...
