I would love to see such old documents! Great video! My grandmother’s marriage certificate was burned in a courthouse fire year’s ago. It’s been a dream of mine to go to Mexico City to see my families records.

Hey Rob, im enjoying your history presentations. I agree the mystery and adventure keeps me researching too. Im sure we are distant cousins, but i have never lived in NM. May i ask if you have any information you can direct me to regarding the 1760 Comanche raid on the Villalpando estancia? As you know, the Villalpando ranch also included Martin and Torres families members. (These are my ancestors who most were centered in Picuris, Trampas, Embudo, Rancho de Taos.) I cant seem to find very much out there about 1760.

I am also descended from that Villalpando-Martin-Torres line. Here is an article: newmexicohistory.org/a-captivating-cautiva-story/

I grew up in Taos. There is a road named "Los Pandos" which is named after the Villalpando family.
